Two Men And A Truck-Greenville-NC

We hired the Greenville NC location to move our furniture into our garage and then back into our home while we had our hardwood floors refinished. The entire situation turned into a nightmare. We have a real wood front door that was severely damaged by furniture on both sides and the door itself. The repair cost me $1200. Our home is filled with custom handmade furniture and very expensive. We have a custom made sofa that cost over $15,000. It was destroyed. Just about every piece of furniture in our home was damaged in some fashion. The couch and door being the absolute worst. I ask that they have the original manufacturer make the sofa repairs due to it being new and they picked it up and carried it to the manufacturer for repairs as requested. Its been 2 months and today about an hour after dark they show up to bring my sofa back. The 2 employees were having a difficult time even getting it out of the truck due the the weight. I stopped them immediately and ask that they re-schedule in day light hours and have more men available. The driver told me " I will just throw it in the street" and he walked to the cab to leave. The 2nd employee called his supervisor, Denise, and let me and my wife talk to her on the phone. The phone he handed us smelled like marijuana and was immediately noticeable with a very strong odor. Denise did re-schedule and told us that 3 men will be back tomorrow to unload with care. We will see. They sent a repair man out and led us to believe that he was coming to make repairs to all of the smaller scratches and scraps from the move. Well come to find out this guy was not here to make repairs after we waited a month and a half for him to arrive. He was only here to give Two Men and a truck an estimate of what he thought the repairs would cost. His total estimate was about $1200 for all repairs. They say they have the right to repair, replace, or compensate. Its their choice. In this instance they said they choose to compensate for the amount of the estimate from a repair person that wont even make the repairs to the door and has not came back to make any repairs. He was supposed to be back at my home to make the repairs to everything except my front door the first week of March(He refused to touch the front door). Today is March 8th and I have yet to hear from him. I requested that he make all repairs to all of our property for his estimate that he gave to 2 men. He said that he would but he would not touch our front door. We do not understand how they can send their so called repair people out and they only come to give an estimate and not do the work they estimated. The front door alone cost me $1200 in repairs. It was completed today and it still has some visible defects that could not be repaired. 2 men sent us a check for $1200 /-(that we have NOT cashed)and they think that will cover all of our repairs. There are numerous other items that I'm sure I am just not typing due to being sick with this company for over 2 months now. I would NOT recommend this particular franchise to ANYONE at all that doesn't want their home and furniture destroyed from incompetent employees who tell customers they will throw their belongings in the street while they are smelling of marijuana. I forgot to mention that they invoiced us twice for this work and we made a mistake and paid them twice. They did refund our 2nd payment. Please be WARNED that this particular franchise is not professional and they will destroy your home and furnishing and will NOT make the repairs that their "estimator" sends out but will try to compensate you for way less than the value of the repair. Hopefully tomorrow our sofa will return in like new condition, but that is yet to be seen. I'm not sure what to do about getting the remaining repairs done because their repair person has not came back yet. This has been a nightmare from day one. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

Having used several different major van lines as well as a few smaller companies I must say I'm thoroughly impressed with how Unified does their work. These folks are professionals. Everyone involved from customer service to the guys at the house were on top of their game. I’d use them again for sure

FRAUDULENT PRACTICES-AVOID
FRAUDULENT PRACTICES... AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!! They performed an in home binding estimate of all our belongings. We agreed to the price and shortly after picking up our belongings, they began to hound us every day to pay additional costs since their estimate appeared to be off. After weeks of this and their threats to not deliver our items and could not guarantee storage, we finally agreed. Upcharge of over $3,000. Then, they claim a "24/7 secure, safe, clean and environmentally safe" storage facility. Not even close. We had boxes of items arrive soaking wet, clothes and wood frames had mold on them, furniture was swollen etc. Not to mention, 14 boxes of items were stolen! Can guarantee its not safe, secure, clean or environmentally safe. And to top it all of, they hired high school kids off of craigslist to perform the unload at our new house. They dropped boxes of dishes on the floor which we got to hear shatter, slid boxes across our new wood floors, banged items into almost every room in the house, dropped dressers going up the stairs etc. Then, they were provided with box cutters to open our furniture and put it back together. They proceeded to cut into our furniture, cut into our leather chair and literally cut our mattress right down the middle. We were guaranteed "professional, trained, drug tested and background checked movers." There website and emails to us indicated all out of state movers have worked for the company for 2 years etc. It was all a complete fraud! And when things go wrong, you will never get them on the phone and the 3rd party claims process is even worse. They hide behind the fact that they can hire "whoever the want" to perform their moves. I can not stress enough that this company needs to be avoided or you will most definitely regret it.

No nonsense
I had to move last minute for a job opening within my company from NY to FL. the movers my company usually contracts with were all booked so I had to find my own company to service the job. I did some research on the internet and came across Unified on multiple platforms. They were available on short notice and provided me a full pack so my wife and I didn't really have to do anything. We literally opened the door and let the crew get to work. Jon had told us these guys were all certified professionals and their work ethic showed that to be true. Also he had assured me these guys wouldn't be, for lack of a better word, sketchy. The movers were all very professional and I wasn't the least bit nervous about them going through and packing all of my items. I've heard of movers out there that steal your stuff but quest moving was great. No nonsense and no problems.

It's worth every penny spent!
They showed up on time, they were friendly and really easy to work with. I appreciate the efficiency and care that was taken with my personal items. I liked the way they asked questions and collaborated in the best way to move items out of and in the house.

Furniture was picked up on 07/30/17 from the origin address. The estimate to move my furniture was 2049.07 but after it was packed the charge jumped to 2719.98 which is more that expected but I can get past that. After everything was packed and paid $800 toward the final bill in cash I signed a document telling me how much I would owe at the destination which was 1051.17. When the furniture finally arrived well beyond the 10 day window promised the driver did not offer me the $200 discount promised for it being late and in addition tacked on $150 for inside flights of stairs which was supposed to be free. The document I signed at the origin had been changed by scratching out the numbers that I signed for and changed the balance due to 1451.13. When I spoke to the driver about this all he kept repeating was “ pay this amount or we don’t unload”. He also refused to call his boss.

They are phenomenal!
They worked very hard and went above and beyond with making sure my items were delivered with no mishaps and that I was setup in my new appartment. They were careful and thoughtful as they loaded and unloaded the truck. They kept assuring me that all would go well and they did it! I appreciate their professionalism and care for my belongings.

This was so hassle free.
From the beginning the office staff was prompt and professional in returning call and explaining estimated cost. All the guys that helped with my move were professionals. They kept me informed about how my move was going the entire time and I could not worry. They did an awesome job for us.

I was thrilled!!
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that with a good moving company you don't have to fret about a big move because everything is taken care of. You've got some great employees from the guys on the truck to the staff at the office I spoke to on the phone. I was amazed at how professional the movers were and how quickly they got the job done. From 1 to 5 I gave them 6!
My experience was great and I want to share it! The movers showed up right on time, did a really professional job, and were very polite and friendly. Nothing seemed to slow them down and they quickly packed everything up and promptly unloaded it at the new destination. Everything arrived safely and on time, all in good condition. Office staff was responsive and helpful too.

the movers took many breaks (cigarette / lunch) which is unacceptable for a 3 hour job. the breaks
the movers took many breaks (cigarette / lunch) which is unacceptable for a 3 hour job. the breaks totaled 1 hour. the movers will give you a sob story about how they get paid like slaves to get a bigger tip. beware if you live in saratoga springs the website says saratoga springs but come from schenectady. they will slip the travel time in and charge for the farthest distance because they have offices all over. i had a 1 apartment job was quoted at 390 moving 3 miles away. the guys disappear for almost a half hour with my furniture in their truck, no call or anything. the guys working behind the desk are all in on it. if the job doesn't take long there's the 3 hour minimum but the guys will stretch it out for get paid extra anyway. pay more and go with maybe's you think youre getting a discount with liedkie but in the end it will be way more

Outstanding Customer Service
I recently moved to from NJ to OH for my dream job. Everything was happening so quickly and I didn't have time to waste with a moving company that wasn't going to be clear and upfront with me. A move like mine is always stressful and I had lots of questions. Their customer service was incredibly responsive and patiently answered all the questions and concerns that I had.

I recently moved from a two bedroom apartment into a house of the same number of bedrooms. They took great care when wrapping and unloading our furniture. They did whatever I asked concerning where I wanted my items put. And price were fair and the result was certainly worth it!
