Giving them 3 stars because they showed up an hour earlier than expected and charged me through the nose for wrapping my couch, bed, TV, and a couple other items. They also ask for a tip up front. To their credit, the guys who did show up worked the entire time they were there, they did the job in the time they told me it would take, and were reasonably cafe ful while moving belongings in and out of the residences. The truck they used was decently clean inside and in good shape. I would use this company again. Their price was also consistent compared to other offers I received. I was told the team of movers would show up between 10 and 10:30, they showed up at 9. The team lead then went through the contract stuff. They have a price chart for wrapping each piece of furniture. While they do not charge you for blankets, they will charge you to put a couple wraps of plastic wrap around your mattress ($18), box spring ($18), couch, TV($15) , etc. All they are doing is using plastic wrap. Once you get past that part, they do good work. From what I understand, this is not too uncommon for movers (which does not make the practice correct, just part of a shady industry).

Amazingly competent and helpful
I have used Intelligent Labor several times and will never use anyone else. They are super efficient, thorough and careful. None of my things were damaged. I had recently hired another moving company for an interim more, because it was last-minute and Intelligent Labor had no slots. I will never hire anyone else again. They were terrible. I am so glad friends recommended Intelligent Labor. They were great.

Excellent movers, polite, hard working, and efficient
Excellent movers, polite, hard working, and efficient. And they were careful with everything and did not damage any of my furniture like my last movers in Brooklyn did. And Luis was amazing. I made so many last minute changes in my schedule and he accommodated me every time, especially during the busiest time of the year for moving in NYC! For my next move, I will definitely hire IPS!

They are an amazing company with very professional movers
Booking Iowa Moving 1 for my local move was an awesome decision. At first I was a little thrown off trying to comprehend the whole part about me renting my own "U-Haul" truck and doing all the driving while they do the loading/unloading but I am so glad I went for it. First, if your move takes more than 2 hour you will for sure save money and second they were AMAZING. Response time when asking for a quote was like 20 minutes, they called me the day before to confirm time and address. Then the day of the move they showed up exactly at the scheduled time. They were so friendly, efficient, and respectful of everything I asked. While I sincerely hope I do not have to move again anytime in the near future I would definitely utilize their services again

professional and super nice
Jim at Integrity movers really cared about my concerns and not just about my stuff. Their crew was timely, professional and super nice. Even though it took them a little extra time, Jim honored the originally quoted price without any question. Highly recommended.
I was simply amazed with Inter Movers and their service for my relocation to Dubai. It was a urgent relocation. My company let me know only a week ahead about my transfer. The crew came, packed and shifted my goods on 5 day notice. Received my goods in Dubai 36 days later in exactly same condition. Highly recommended.

Colonial Van Lines - Worst Customer Service Experience Ever! Do Not Use!
Worst Customer Service Experience Ever!! Do not Use them! > They Cancelled on us 1 day before we had to be out of the house - They missed our pick-up window, even after we gave them an extra day. I called them daily for over a week asking for an update on pick-up - all they would say was that they were working on it and would get back to us. They never did. At the end they said they couldn’t even promise us a truck if we gave them an extra week. They said they had multiple customers in the same situation as us, and our best option would be to find another moving company. Fortunately, we were able to find another company who could take us the next day, but it cost us an extra $3000+. We had no ability to shop around to find a better price. Colonial must have known that they were going to be unable to service us for several days before they cancelled but didn’t let us know so that we could have explored other options. > They upped the cost on us - A week before our scheduled move I called them to update our moving inventory. We had several large items we weren’t going to move, including a riding lawn mower, refrigerator, and several furniture pieces. We did add a few more boxes to the move. Somehow despite this reduction they said it would cost us an extra $1000+ for the move which we had to pay immediately. > Horrible Customer Service across multiple departments - We never heard from our moving coordinator for months before our move, despite numerous messages to her asking for a call back. The QA Department was supposed to send a final inventory for us to review as a critical document for the move. After getting the money from us for the extra charge, we never heard anything from them again. Customer Service never gave us anything more than ‘We are working on it and will get back to you’, but never did. I even had a CS Rep promise she would call me with an update by 9 am the next morning, but I never heard from her again. After they cancelled on us, it took multiple pleading calls for them to refund the deposits we had paid so that we could pay the other movers. Even the Customer Service Manager failed to contact me despite promises to do so over 3 weeks. > They Tried to Buy Our Silence - Eventually Colonial offered us a low-ball offer of only $250 for their inability to complete the service they had committed to and for our inconvenience. After weeks of no response from them, I got a call within 24 hours of posting this negative review on-line. The compensation offer was increased to $500 with the stipulation that the review be deleted, and no other reviews or complaints would be filed. If you read through many of the 5-star reviews you will see that there are a lot of them that were initially 1-star reviews, and they were revised only after they were contacted by the Resolution Manager, and likely after receiving compensation to amend their review. Do yourself a favor – save yourself a lot of money, time and stress, and use a different mover.

highly recommend this company. Moving is a stressful time
I have moved way too many times. Usually, I utilize my Dads pick-up truck and do it Clampett style. This time, knowing that I had the stairs from hell, a very large refrigerator, icy, snowy sidewalks to contend with, and my new destination being 40 miles away, I decided to use a u-haul and movers. Plus the fact that I wanted to save Dads back. This move was a little unexpected. I needed to move back to my parents house to help take care of my mom after she gets out of the hospital, where she has been for the last 55 days and will continue to be for a few more weeks. I packed my belongings into two categories, things to go to the house and things to go into storage. One of the more organized packing jobs I have ever done. I called on a Friday afternoon and they had time for me the next day...worked perfect for my days off. Two guys showed up, walked up the stairs, introduced themselves and commented on the narrow stairs, awkward door openings and the lovely 90 degree turn half-way down the stairs. I explained what needed to get loaded first, and they began. They got the fridge down first, thanking us for kindly taking doors off hinges, and removing the fridge doors, a tight squeeze, but we got it up there, so we knew it would go down. Next went the mattress and box-spring, and the insanely tall headboard I own. They loaded everything on the truck, secured it all, and did this in 45 minutes never once complaining about the awful stairs, and without damaging anything. I believe this was the best money I have ever spent. They charge $70/hr with a 15 min destination charge to the location and back. I would have paid twice that. I gave both gentlemen a very large tip, they thanked me for my business and went on their way. I would highly recommend this company. Moving is a stressful time, and they took a lot of the burden off my shoulders.

Heart moving was recommended by a friend for their great communication, good pricing and solid work. I communicated with Ana who was very responsive and accommodating. We had a 2bedroom move with a lot of stuff and they recommended a 2 stage move (1 day packing, second day move) to make sure we adhered to the moving times for each building. They provided fair quotes and even called me personally to see how they could provide the most efficient service. In the end, I chose a different company who was able to do the whole move in one day but boy, that was some crazy tornado of a day. Looking back, Hearts recommendation to do the move in 2 days was probably the better plan. Will keep them in mind for future moves.

Hill Worldwide Moving Services was contracted by the military to move my family. They used some of the best boxes available, but they still managed to do a terrible job. I was told that I would have four packers for three days. We lived three hours away from their office so the packers would stay in a hotel each night. On day one only two individuals showed up and they returned home instead of staying the night. I was told they would throw more man power at our house after day two if needed on day three. On day two we did receive three packers, but they did not show up until 2:00 pm because there was another job they had to complete. They were only at our house for two hours. I called their main office to complain and got no response. On day three the same three packers arrived and were way behind schedule. One packer, Trinity, was very disrespectful to my wife when she asked him to wrap the items in paper that were going into boxes. We saw him on numerous occasions dumping things into boxes with no paper wrapping. This has resulted in countless things being broken on the receiving end. Towards the end of the day, the packers wanted to leave so they could catch a ferry home because they "were basically done." I made them stay and finish the job because I knew they still had close to ten man hours of work. I do not recommend this company and if you have no other option, do NOT let Trinity in your house.

Hoss Moving should get zero stars as they never showed up! Epic fail. Talked to them the day before & set up a time, but the day of the move they never came & never returned my calls. I have moved many times in my 68 years...and this experience was the easiest most pleasant move I have ever experienced. From the time my appraiser came to my home ...to the time my Van gentleman came to deliver my furniture,there was not a problem. The packers did an outstanding job taking care of my treasures....I was so grateful unpacking ,especially my artwork...with no damage to anything...and I could tell they were quality packers ,and cared. Thank you so much doe a quality service.

Amazingly great team who did a tremendous job! We called this company on very short notice, as we originally had some friends offer to help us move and they decided not to help only a few days prior to the move. Within two days of calling, Marty came out and gave us a quote. Three days later, his team came out to do the packing, followed by the move the next day. They were absolutely wonderful. They had my entire three bedroom, two bathroom house packed, labeled, and staged in the garage for easy loading in the truck the following day within 3 1/2 hours. We have a dog who is constantly under foot and demanding to play with everyone she comes into contact with and, while they were packing and loading things, they were simultaneously playing with her and showering her with attention! I honestly could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much!!

Hired this company through Yelp! As an experienced mover who moves every 12 months, hiring this company to handle my move was the biggest mistake ever. I highly caution those receiving low ball quotes, have several conversations to be SURE that the quote is accurate, then to be billed DOUBLE when the job is done. When contacting Jim to discuss the charge, as his customer, I was screamed at, belittled, called names, accused of not being able to pay my Bill. Today, as a result of his frustration, has set up several fake ads so that people call me non stop. What kind of professional does this? Huge warning to future customers! There is a lot more to this story, I had be happy to share my experience.

Pros efficient, on time Cons: we agreed to 125 per hr for 5 hrs, that part was fine. What I am mad about is that they charged an additional $6 per box used to move the items! What?!? Plus, they did not unpack! We paid for 5 hours of service, but only got 4 at most. They could have stayed and unpacked. They were wanting food and water, which we did not mind giving them, but then left their trash everywhere! Very unprofessional. Seemed like they were hired at a truck stop. Pretty rough with our expensive items as well. Would not recommend.

I have used H-Town movers twice and both times they arrived on time and did a great job. I hired them again for a move upcoming this weekend and I was a bit last minute and had to make changes to the move and they worked hard to accommodate my changes. I definitely recommend them!

I had a great experience with Holman. I contacted Greg to inquire about a move out of NYC. He was fast and efficient in providing a quote. I had movers to pack and load my apartment within a week. I was given a pretty long window for delivery, but was pleasantly surprised when Dana informed me it would arrive within a week. The team who unloaded was fast, respectful of both our home and belongings, and hilarious. We enjoyed working with them. A smooth and easy process for what could have been a huge headache to coordinate on my own.

Delayed my move due to Covid and this company honored my quoted rates and scheduled within days of calling! Team was on time very careful and friendly and efficient. Super impressed with the whole experience and would not hesitate to use the again!

Great service with an affordable price
While moving is a pain in the neck, the Hercules movers made things as seamless as possible. They showed up on time, finished much quicker than I would have expected and went out of their way to be polite. Most importantly, they were extra careful with my furniture (and my walls). I hope not to move again for a long time, but will definitely give Hercules a call next time I do
