Great Moving Company
We had such an excellent moving experience. They moved us (and packed whatever was not yet packed) within a reasonable time. They were so mindful with handling fragile packages, protected all our furniture and our home, and took great care making sure nothing is damaged during the move. They had to disassemble some furniture and they re-assembled everything correctly (this was important to us because our previous movers botched the re-assembly). Overall, they were a very professional crew throughout the move! Booking with them was also a smooth experience. They were responsive, transparent, and reasonable with the costs involved with the move. We are very happy to hire them!

Road Runner Moving and Storage
Do not hire
Roadrunner moving company AKA Polaris Moving systems. I do not often write on social media sites however I feel compelled to do so regarding this company and what they have put us through. Do not EVER hire this moving company who are based in California. There are 84 complaints on websites about this company and their modus operandi in which all of them are stating the same thing. They show up, charge double the original estimate and when they deliver, most of your items are damaged or broken and the rest of it never shows up. Unfortunately, we hired Alliance to move our property from Oregon to New Hampshire and it was they who brokered it out to these people. True to form, they showed up on the day that we were meant to be out of the house saying that the original estimate was incorrect, and they wanted double the money. They assured us that our items would be kept in a locked facility. Of course, we did not look at reviews on the day that we had to vacate the house, why would you? We tried to contact them several times once we had settled as we noticed we had been charged for 3400 cubic feet. The two U- Haul vans that they turned up in could only take a maximum of 2700 square feet. We were also charged extra as we were informed they had to use “shuttle vans†to deliver as there was no access for a larger truck which was ridiculous as there is an interstate right up to where we reside. Eleven times in total we asked for the contract and the receipt for the vans. The receipts were never received, and we finally got the contract on the day of delivery. Move forward to the day of delivery. Although it stipulates in the contract you can pay by money order, cash or wire transfer, and although having made a money order out to them, May Evan (office manager) refused to allow the delivery men to offload until a wire transfer was made. Because the bank was closing when I got there to change the payment delivery, the men were instructed to take a hotel room until the wire transfer was received. We were informed, with witnesses present that we would not be charged for this. The following day, we were informed by May that we would have to pay an extra $2200 for the night the men had had to stay. When I informed her that she wasn’t getting another penny from us, she stated that she would accept $1000. Due to this extortion, the Police were called, and she was informed in no uncertain terms that unless all our stuff was unloaded, all the delivery men would be heading to jail. Our items were eventually offloaded but what James and I were witnessing left us in shock. Most of our furniture that was on the van had been damaged, glasses, pictures, boxes had been rifled through, souvenirs from places we have visited, all smashed AND most of our furniture was not even on the trucks that showed up. Move forward to the present day, four months since delivery, over $50,000 worth of our property nowhere to be found. They have refused to answer our voicemails and emails, but reading the reviews, this is part of their M.O. Because the contract stipulates that if we are dissatisfied, we would have to sue them in California, I contacted five different lawyers to sue for breach of contract, neglect, and larceny. None of them returned calls. Maybe they are all related to this company. Moral of this story: I would be grateful if everyone could repost this so that it can be dispersed to the public. I just hope by writing this long spiel, and I apologize for it, we can save someone from going through the traumatic experience that this horrendous company has put us through.

We moved a 3 bedroom townhome from North County to a 3 bedroom townhome a little south. We shopped around for a lot of quotes but settled with 24/7 Moving and Storage because they were extremely professional and the price point was reasonable. While there were other companies that were cheaper than 24/7, but you will be paying a little bit more for great workers and a fun crew. On the day of our move, they arrived promptly at the time that was promised. They brought a truck with them that was in great shape. We had Chris, Christian and Mike move us, and from the beginning to end they had a smile on their faces. No matter how heavy the furniture got or how many times they had to go up and down the stairs--they did it without any complains. They were also kind enough to pack our TVs and other furnitures. I highly recommend 24/7 if you are moving!

I truly cannot recommend this company less. Everything was fine with pickup and storage of my stuff - the trouble started when I called to schedule my delivery. The first time I called, two weeks before I moved into my new apartment, I was told I should wait until moving day since the shipment might come early. I scheduled it a week later and was told it would take 2-3 weeks. As weeks went by and I called to check on the shipment, I was either rudely pushed off or given excuses. I was constantly told that it would be on a truck "soon" or "next week". I had to try contacting International Van Lines to have them call and get more information, which worked only occasionally. An already stressful situation was made worse having to deal with the people at Velocity. After sailing past the agreed-upon delivery date, the shipment eventually made it upon a truck. When the latest ETA passed again, I was told (only then!) that the truck had apparently broken down and been fixed. A few days later, it had allegedly broken down again. The delivery was so late that I was compensated the entire remaining balance. Finally my stuff did arrive... moldy. Furniture, clothes, and sentimental, irreplaceable items were covered in mold. I spent a week dousing everything in bleach and vinegar but not everything was salvageable.

Vector just handled my move within Jersey City. Throughout the entire process, from planning, to the actual move, the team was very professional and great to work with. Nick provided a quote that was fair and below other local movers. He also checked in multiple times before our move to see if we needed anything, which was very appreciated. During the move itself, Nikita and his team arrived on time, and were courteous, professional, and very careful with our furniture. They completed the move in the minimum estimated time, which ensured that our budget was kept. I would absolutely use Vector again and highly recommend them to anyone that needs moving services.

They worked quickly and efficiently, getting my move completed an hour quicker than was quoted. I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I have had to move several times in the past few years and this is the worst moving company I have used. I wanted to use the last moving company I moved with but they did not do short distance moves so I browsed through the better business bureau to find this company. The initial work order went smoothly but since the day of the move, everything went downhill. I moved out of New York city and many of the buildings in the city are more stringent about protection of the building during the move. I provided the movers with the necessary instructions and of course on the day of the move, the company did not have the needed materials and denied that they received the faxed instructions. I provided the fax confirmation and the building management showed the returned contract sent by the movers with the moving instructions but again, the moving company denied receiving these instructions so I was required to pay the building $200 for the materials. Upon receiving my furniture, items were damaged and one item was lost. It is now 3 months since the move and I have not received reimbursement for the damaged and lost item. Repeated contact to the moving company did not prove useful. I had to file a claim with the better business bureau to try and resolve this issue and at this time, no reimbursement or amends have been made. I will never use this company again and advice others to do the same.

Top Moving relocated my household items this week from Panama City Beach, to another storage facility in Ocala, Florida ( five hour drive). Mohammad and John were professional, took special care with my items, and had to work in the rain for the first leg of the move. They never complained and what is astounding to me, they straightened out boxes that had been crushed when another moving company handled the move to the storage bins. When my household items are moved from storage to my home I will definitely use Top Moving. This move was effortless and restored my faith...there is a moving company with honest, outstanding employees who think things out and do not just slam the boxes into place. Thank you Top Moving!

Professional thieves!!! SCAM!!!! Espcially the big girl with glasses names Jessica I am very saddened and disappointed that my tote full of Burberry® new with tags on the items still have disappeared. A value of over $2,500.00. I am very unsatisfied with the quality of service as well as dishonesties I have faced thus far from quote to loading and unloading. Jessica at telephone number 201-952-1476 was not conducive in any regard & became extremely belligerent when I informed her of my missing tote and advised me to file a claim right away the same day I informed her the movers had either lost or left the aforementioned tote behind. Upon the movers departure with my furniture and belongings, I noticed a pink sticker which corresponded with the stickers placed on my belongings located on the wall in the living room of my previous apartment which read Lot No. FT0131 and beneath bold numbers 082. I immediately sent her a picture of the sticker questioning if it would be an issue which clearly has come to be. ( I am unsure if this will cost 250$ if read correctly on the papers I signed). Although I am uncertain, I truly believe that she blocked my calls as she even went as far as to yell over me over the phone during a call she placed to me regarding the missing aforementioned tote. She got even louder when I expressed to her that the totes that had indeed been taped during the pick up had arrived untaped and what seemed to be rummaged through. I refuse to be disrespected and treated so poorly especially considering the fact that I hired what I was under the impression of, was to be a professional moving company. I expect the same level of customer service professionalism. At this point I am at a loss for words and can not recommend this company to anyone.

We had a move scheduled with another company that did not show up on move day. We immediately searched for a replacement and found John and The Moving Company. He was able to squeeze us in on short notice for a move a couple of days later. On move day, John and his team showed up on time. The team was extremely positive and seemed genuinely happy to help us. They were very careful with everything and asked questions about certain items to make sure we were comfortable with how they moved them. We were moving out of a three story townhome that had some challenges with spacing, but the team was very careful and very efficient. Unloading was just as easy. They asked where everything should go and assembled our beds. During a conversation, they even mentioned they can do interstate moves. No hidden fees, no questionable behavior, all class. These guys are awesome and I will 100% recommend them to everyone and use them again in the future.

We highly recommend Thompson Moving! Moving from Northern IL to central KY, Thompson handled everything with aplomb, very professional. They even loaded my 72 GMC pickup to make our trip easier. They showed up on time, loaded quickly, and we were on our way sooner than expected. The narrow, curved, rural driveway in KY presented a challenge to a big rig, but they made it - a game of inches. They unloaded quickly and got everything into the right area. Nothing was damaged or lost and the price was dead on the quote - no ups or extras. When we asked our realtor for a mover recommendation "Thompson" was instantaneous and now we know why. Excellent service.

These guys are fantastic! Andrew, Dillon, Share, Trip, Taylor, Zach and Chris worked their butts off from the second they arrived on site. They are very skilled and know what they were doing and they did it. I cannot recommend them high enough, great crew, great job! Two Man Movers are the best!

I have never moved long-distance. So, a lot of reviews gave mixed feelings about the whole thing. But as far as the experience, negative ones are just "those" type of people. Movers are people too, get a life! As far as my crew - especially attentive, very friendly and supportive with the whole thing. Packed up some fragile items that I had no wish or time to take care of on my way to new place in Dyker Heights. No smoking breaks or sitting around? Check. Spare boxes? Check. Getting the truck to the destination earlier than me? Somehow check. The price was higher than originally quoted, but I was prepared for some extra charges - doing my homework with the papers did the thing. Great experience overall! Would certainly use again. I highly recommend Thrifty Moving & Storage for all of your moving needs! We did a local move, and they made the process easy from start to finish. The movers showed up on time, and were great to work with. The location we were moving from was on the third floor of an apartment complex, with no elevator. I apologized several times for the not so ideal moving situation, and they could not have been more positive, and accommodating about it. They took great care of our boxes and furniture, and while I always go into a move with the expectation inevitably something will break accidentally, all of our items were perfectly intact when we unboxed them. I will definitely continue to use Thrifty Moving for any future moves!
