Hall Lane moved my mother-in-law from New York to Maine and they did a great job packing all her things with care and complying with all our requests. Dave, Sam, and Murray were extremely helpful and accommodating during the move-in process. Everything happened promptly and on schedule and everyone was easy to work with.

Oneil Moving Systems, Inc
worst experience
I want to give you the full story. The week up to me contacting Oneill moving I called around moving companies and asked how much would it be to move a 3900 sq ft house with a few rooms in the basement. I got quotes using 2 26 foot trucks with 4 to 6 men plus cleanout anywhere from 3800 to 4500. I settled on oneill since they were the cheapest and available, I emphasized i needed 2..26 foot trucks and Susan Oneill said no problem. The day before the move she tells me on the 28th that one truck had an accident and other is in the shop and can only give me one 26 ft the other 10 foot electrical van. Last minute she left me no choice my settlement on my house was 8/31 and i had to get out of there over the weekend. She also said if i can find a last minute 26 foot truck she will pay for it, and i did but when i called her back she said her foreman will come and look at the job and see if it really is needed. So the 29th they all come out, formean looks at the job says the trucks they have are ok i do not need another one, but was he wrong, they had to take multiple trips to load and unload my furniture till 1 in the morning. The next day Sunday the electrical van came out multiple times inconveniencing me and finishing up late also. So finally its 8/31 and their policy is to only take cash, cashiers checks certified, i only could get a title company check that i tried to convert to cashiers but it would not clear till the next day, so when they found, out after loading some of the furniture at my new house, they quickly loaded everything back on the truck and drove back to their base not delivering my furniture. This is the part that becomes borderline extortion as one of the police officers i talked too, when she ordered them to not deliver and put everything back on the truck, she basically held my furniture for ransom and said YOU GIVE ME 5000 AND I WANT CASH UPFRONT BEFORE THEY DELIVER OR ELSE of course what could i do she had me handtied i had to pray that she would deliver it the next day she was fully paid. So finally after giving her 5000 they began to deliver it, but of course since they did not have 2.26 foot trucks they had to come back twice and the second delivery lasted till 3 in the morning, i felt bad for the guys since they had a big delivery at 730 the next morning with only a few hours sleep. When the foreman showed up at the 2nd delivery he was all pissed off and kept complaining that he was not getting paid, and he ordered the guys to throw the furniture in the garage any which way, causing a complete mess that took me days to straighten out myself, and i had to pay another 150 for another company to come out to help move some of the stuff, also he refused to place any furniture that was already placed on the first delivery, he was a complete unprofessional and he left in a huff taking my paperwork and not signing out etc. I found out some things that the guys are not even employees, they are subcontractors that have no insurance or work mans comp and are paid probably under the table, basically guys off the street. I believe they are violating several pa rules, extorting holding my furniture as ransom unless i agreed to 5000 well above the 10 pct allowable increase from the original estimate, taking the money upfront without delivering, refusing to deliver, no workers comp insurance deceiving the public saying they are insured, they only have driving insurance, also there is some damage to some of the furniture too. I hope you can help me with this, since this was one of the most horrific miserable things i have ever went thru.

These guys win the prize for not only making our very challenging move from Denver to Carbondale less complicated, but also doing it with smiles and a great attitude, doing it professionally and going above and beyond to make it all work out well for us. From the estimator to the super movers, to the guys at the top who helped figure it all out, this group did what they could to simply make it work. Oh, and upon unpacking Not one thing broken. They also picked up and recycled the empty boxes and packing material and accepted whatever we took back to them later as well. As for the expense, perhaps I could have worked at it and found some way to have done it cheaper (and with much more hassle!) - I believe I got what I paid for in value and quality of the work provided.

Great moving experience
Great and helpful group of guys. I have moved 7 times to included 2 cross county moves so I know what a good move is vs a nightmare move. Moved my 80 yr old mother from independent to assisted living. Especially patient with her. Took apart a teak cabinet. Attention to detail at delivery too. Reassembled and adjusted the doors so that they were even. We had several large items that needed to be moved to another location and they were the muscle that help load to another truck. Cheers you guys and thank you.

worst experience
I had booked and paid deposit. Day of they were supposed to come between 9-10 am they never showed and then all day said they were coming. it was obvious they took another job perhaps that paid much more as they said they were in Miami at 9 AM and I am in Broward county. This ruined my whole day it was hard to find someone else I had just closed on my condo and the new people were coming the next morning I did not know what to do. Last minute by the grace of God at 4 PM I found somebody that would show up. I would never recommend this company or use them be where they will book the appointment take your posit and then make excuses all day worst company ever. They did end up refunding my money

Excellent Work
I was making a move from AZ to CO and was dreading it. I heard a lot of horror stories about movers but I could not have been more satisfied! The whole experience was great. Jeanie gave me my estimate and she was very honest, which I really appreciated. Their estimate was between 300-2000 cheaper than the other companies I was looking at. Debbie was always on top of giving me updates/checkins on when they were going to pick up the furniture and my delivery. My delivery driver was Darryl Jordan and Joe who were awesome! They were super gentle with all my furniture, set up my bed and cleaned up all the wrapping after. I will definitely be using Olympian/Allied again for more moves

AVOID THIS COMPANY
They broke so much of my stuff. Killed all my plants destroyed my walls and packed everything extremely haphazardly and un safely. Would not recommend or use again. No refunds for any of my destroyed pieces either. I have used so many moving companies over the years including for a cross country move with very few things being broken. Oz could not even handle a move from one Brooklyn apartment to another without smashing a bunch of my things. Broke my dresser too! Insane. AVOID. Would rate 0 stars if I could

David Lopez and his crew were so efficient and kind to assist me during my move. They helped pack everything up and disassembled the items I need help with. They also did a walk through to ensure I did not forget anything . Would recommend.

absolutely smooth packing and moving
We only had to use a moving service twice so far , hiring New Jersey Transport was the second time, moving our apartment in NY . I can see and understand how some things can go wrong in the moving process , but our experience was an absolutely smooth packing , moving and unpacking . Ronny was very communicative and helpful whenever we needed him or just had a question . I would recommend New Jersey Transport to anyone looking for a moving company (Our move was a local move)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I have move two or three times in the last month and all those moving things I use NICE GUY MOVERS. I could not let pass a review on them, they were very professional, friendly, great price, they know how to take care of what you have as far your furniture. Customer service excellent, I will most likely going to need to move again and I already know whom am I going to use to do the moving, Nothing broke, always on time, wrap what needs to be wrap. I totally recommend Nice Guy Movers. Thank you guys for such a great job. I have your contact information on my phone already for the next time. Do not worry about the bad reviews, even if they were smelling marijuana the job was done well. Great guys! They helped me move a one bedroom apartment worth of furniture from a storage unit and were willing to make a second stop to pick up a few items. Hard working and quick, almost no damage to any furniture A pleasure working with them, would use again.

handled our furniture with damage
I would recommend against using this company. I had an out of state move using them and had over 25 items damaged including my dresser, bed, broken chair, broken dishes, etc. I also had a chair missing and received other peoples items that were not mine! Terrible experience and cost me thousands of dollars.

UNACCEPTABLE service
Here the deal - I hired these guys to move me almost two years ago , and have been debating on and off whether to write a review based on my experience. I never told management about my experience, choosing to just put it behind me and chalk it up to life experience. But, I am about to move again and, as usual, i am looking at reviews to make sure that I am going to be hiring the best possible team. I wish that there was a review like mine back in 2014 that could have helped guide my decision on who to hire. So writing this review right now seems a bit more important. First of all, they showed up an hour and a half late. The person who scheduled the appointment said that they had show up at 9 they actually showed up at 10:30. The actual movers said that their boss told them to show up at their office (appx 30 minutes away from my apartment) at 9. So poor communication, and I suffered as a result. Normally this would be a minor inconvenience, but in my case I needed to be out of my apartment by 1pm, so this was detrimental. Second, the person who scheduled the appointment estimated that the job would take about 3 hours. I have a one bedroom apartment. I do have a reasonable amount of stuff, but not enough to overfill my apartment. The two guys that were sent for my move did not seem physically capable to do the job. They seemed to try their best (other than the several times when we found them sitting around), but they were just exhausted. In fact, at the end of the move, they were so tired that the guy wrote down his partners name (so that I could leave them a positive review) as Brain instead of Brian. I got a good laugh out of that one. Unfortunately, instead of the projected three hours that it took to move, it took seven hours. I can understand that the time can vary depending on the amount of stuff-stairs etc, but more than double the quote is unacceptable. I, of course, had to pay by the hour for their incredibly slow work, and, of course, left a reasonable tip because they were exhausted, seemed to try their best, were polite, and took care of my things. I will not be looking at Newcomer Movers again for my upcoming move.

THE WORST COMPANY EVER !If I could give minus stars I would. I beg you please save your time and health and NEVER PLEASE NEVER deal with them. We have been trying to get our boxes for 3 weeks. Communication is awful. I mean it, AWFUL! We finally were able to make an appointment for today. We drove 11h from Portland to SF to get our staff and NO ONE IS HERE! NO ONE picks up. When finally after tons of calls from both number they picked up - customer service guy totally does not give a crap. Blamed us. Very unprofessional and just wanted to get rid of us.
