These folks have moved me (it use to be us) many times. I am not subjective just because I went to the same college with one of the owners either. Not only are their employees professional, but they are courteous, know their business and as I mentioned, actual employees of the company. My last move was shortly after my husband suddenly passed away. I was not in good form. Tom and Todd, took good care of me in planning everything. Traditional Express Van Lines
Biggest Mistake of my Life!!
I originally hired Colonial Van Lines to move us from Massachusetts to Florida, however, without my knowledge, Colonial subbed the job out to Traditional Van Lines based out of NJ. We were told our furniture was going to be sent to a warehouse in Tampa and we were to call two days prior to when we wanted our home goods delivered to our new home. We called them on February 12th to inform them that we will be moving in on the 14th. When the furniture didn’t come, we resorted to using air mattresses. On the first night, my wife fell off the air mattress and broke her shoulder. I called Colonial to ask about my furniture and I told them of the accident with my wife, I didn’t receive any apologies, they seemed like they didn’t even care, and that I needed to call them back in 2 days and they would update me about the status of my furniture. At one point, they told me it was in Jacksonville in a warehouse and that they would get back to me. The next time I called, they told me it was still in NJ. My furniture finally arrived Feb 25th with $1200 damage to by Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and many items were broken, including some antiques I bought while I was in the UK. Also, many of my brand new toolsets were missing, I presumed stolen. Then, about 2 weeks after we received our stuff, a moving truck pulled up with more of our stuff that they claimed they found at the warehouse. Every time I called them, I got the old “you need to talk to so and so” run-a-round. I was told I could put a claim in, and they said it would settle between 90 and 100 days. I placed my claim for $3200 and they gave me a settlement of $450. They knew they had, because small claims court told me I had to file where the moving contract was signed, in Massachusetts. What a dysfunctional company, both companies. My advice to anybody, put your stuff in a POD, use your own lock, and your stuff will be safe.

Speedway Vanlines
good company
I searched for several weeks for my cross-country move and came upon Speedway pretty much by accident. I reached out and spoke with Martin and he was extremely helpful and kind. The company gave me an estimate of around 7-14 days after my ready date and they were early, even though the pandemic was getting worse. The pickup was simple, drop off was great and there was no damage to anything. I even had a really heavy armoire and they took it to the second floor with no issues. I would recommend them to anyone going a short or long distance move.

In the middle of November I received a flyer in the mail from Fresh Start Movers, filled out the online form, and received a quote pretty quickly. I did the same thing with some other moving companies and ended up booking another local company. 3 days before my move on December 18th, I called that moving company to obtain their Certificate of Insurance (COI), as my destination address requires one. I then learned that they do not carry insurance! My stomach turned. How had I backed myself into this corner?? So I called Fresh Start, hoping they could find space in their schedule. By some miracle, they had a cancellation on the day of my move because of the huge snow storm approaching New England. Elyssa was the original person who helped me, and Holly was the one to book my move the second time. Both were professional and awesome. The day came, and David and Jake showed up right on time, ready to work, and had me on my way. They did an excellent job, and I cannot say enough nice things about these four people as well as this company. If you want things done right the first time by trusted, personable, INSURED movers, call Fresh Start. Thank me later. :)

Jordan was excellent in handling customer service, was very responsive and made sure I had everything I needed. They shipped my car from Boston to LA in about 8 days, which I consider fast. Overall very happy with their services.

Absolutely no complaints. Zach, Marquis, and Austin were first, and foremost, prompt, professional and personable. Sized everything up quickly and started right in. Took 3-hrs, start to finish. Secure was recommended to me, and I will gladly recommend the company to others. Owner(?) Derek was our first contact when we called, and that experience alone was enough to satisfy any potential concerns.

Superior Moving moved my parents from Villanova to Newtown Square and the move was so great. The movers were polite and worked very hard. The estimate was right on. I have recommended Superior to a couple people already. They have a really cool online estimate system that no other company had...made Superior seem progressive. Anyway, I would use them again for sure.

mGM did a wonderful job moving our very very heavy radiators out of our old house with steep steps and narrow doorways!! No problems! We are pleased with this company. They are picking the radiators up and bringing them back and I am sure from what I have seen,they will do an excellent job on a very difficult move! Thanks guys! The office staff,Kathy,was a great help,professional and very accommodating! Thanks Kathy!

I moved from NY to TX and the original estimate/quote was only HALF of what I paid. When they packed for you, they threw everything into boxes to increase the volume (they charged by cubic feet) so that they can charge you more. So it is better to pack by yourself. Also, I was told it will be delivered in 12 calendar days and after 12 calendar days, the customer service told me that they have 21 business day to deliver by law. Yep, when they are late, they decide to talk about laws and rules to their customers. It has been over 14 calendar days and I have not received my stuff. They won’t call you to give you an update. You have to call them.
