Martin Piano Co & Furniture Movers
Good Company, not a lot of hours
I have used Joe Martins moving company for over 14 years. They have moved large expensive pianos for all of these years without any damage. A lot of my moves are not easy. Joe always sends enough men to do the right move. BUT, one of the other main reason I used Joe is he is probably one of the few movers that has REAL cargo insurance. The pianos he moves for me are valued at $30,000 to $100,000. Joe has no problem send me his yearly cover sheet showing me that he carries enough insurance to move my pianos. So I am glad to pay more for my moves knowing that he has the proper insurance. Even though I carry $120,000 in Cargo Insurance, I want the people that move my pianos to also carry insurance. best experience we have ever had
Although the movers were 2 hours late, they did call to let me know and we are very polite about it. Once they arrived they worked very quickly and efficiently. Moved my 2br house in 4 hours. Everything was very well protected, and the men were courteous and a pleasure to work with. I had definitely recommend them and plan to use them in the future. They also did not charge extra for moving on a holiday weekend.

Local Movers Texas
This is not a moving company!
This is not a moving company!!! It is a lead company that distributes your information to many companies and you will end up with a million phone calls for about a week. So annoying. They did not even take my information down accurately and said I was moving a 1 bedroom apt when I was actually moving a 4 bedroom house. The 30 moving companies that actually did call me were not even equipped for my move. Do not call these people unless you want a bunch of phone calls and emails wasting your time.

quick and efficient job.
It was a pleasure to work with Van Lines Inc. for a Cross Country move. I had no problems at all with the crew members or with customer service. The price was not bad, it was about the same as the estimate. We had some very heavy furniture to move but they did everything so good. I liked that they made scheduling easy and handled everything professionally. Keep up doing excellent work guys.

Reasonable prices, and the team worked quickly and efficiently.
We hired Kad Moving and storage to move a piano across town. They provided a very reasonable quote and were professional and efficient on moving day. Kevin and crew were friendly and did a great job maneuvering tight corners in both the pick up and drop off locations. I would not hesitate to hire them again for our moving needs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
If I could give them less than one star I would. They do not return calls, and very difficult to get a hold of. Once you do get them on the phone they promise to get back to you with quotes and do not. Owner was rude and unwilling to do business because I continued to look for a moving company after he failed to respond for a week. Customer service is imperative in business today and this guy has none!

Excellent service!! I called for a lockout on my brand new Freightliner Coronado; the man I spoke with was very thorough and polite. And exactly on time Kevin arrived. Very knowledgable and professional man, immediately went to work trying to open my door in the misting rain and 50 degree weather. After both of us working together we finally got it open! Excellent service. Really nice guys.
John is a great guy on the phone and in person. Honest and reliable, I would recommend him to all my friends and family. He is a family man and gets the job done. His rates are reasonable and were not the cheapest but I did not want cheap. I want quality. The one thing I absolutely liked about John is his hard and efficient work. He loves what he does and was vocal about preexisting damage and details of taking furniture apart. He made great effort to do a great job and his partner was the same. Both workers were great and I would not call anyone else.

I contacted Harry M Kies Moving for our move. The price they quoted was the most reasonable and they responded to our request for a quote quickly. They arrived at the appointed day and had us moved out of one place and into another in no time at all. Nothing was damaged or broken the crew was fast but careful. Very friendly and efficient movers.
I actually found them through one my husbands employer. They moved two angles house and it went well. They loaded up our whole house. It was first determinate that they delivered stuff as half of their staff took that Friday off and so they had temporary workers that were pretty horrible. There were some damages which were taken care of by the insurance. There was one person in the packing and delivery who was great. The temporary workers who did the delivery were horrible. In my experience there were lots of people falling sick on pay day so they had to find temps. Their price was very high. If they got the job done it was with the temporary workers. They were bringing things in the house and that was when the damaged occurred as they werenot professional. They were on time.

A Marvelous Job.
Grassroots did a phenomenal job loading a 27 box truck with our furniture and boxes. They packed the truck efficiently to the top and secured the load As they went. I would not hesitate with recommending them to anyone needing help moving. Thank you again!

Wrost Experience.
DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. I recently used Brunos team for a simple move that only took 2 hours. When I spoke with Bruno back in April I told him it was a 2 hour move, he said fine, but we have a minimum 3 hour charge, plus and hour minimum for travel charge. So the movers showed up, had me loaded and moved in 2 hours. I was charged a minimum of 4 hours, plus the drive time. I tried several attempts to reach out to Bruno but he never returned my calls, and the one time I did get him on the phone, he told me he was to busy to speak to me. Now the movers were great, very nice guys. But, beware, they do not take care of your furniture when they load it. I had lots of cosmetic damage to several pieces. But here is the kicker, doesnot matter if they damage your stuff, the agreement you MUST sign in order for them to move you concerning damages has the amounts they are not responsible for so high that it basically indemnifies them from any responsibility to replace or fix anything they destroy.

Scheduling was also very easy and flexible. Definitely recommend.
Josh and his team were beyond amazing. I truly can not say enough wonderful things about their professionalism, great service, & smooth move. We had a multi-day, multi-phase move (over 7k sqr ft, Guesthouse, 3 car garage). They also packed our entire estate with care and professionalism. I think we had a least 6-8 men crew each time. Because of the multi-phase move, they had to be very organized and did an great job of that as well as communicating. They really can provide VIP service, (crated things that were expensive or delicate, etc). Some things went to storage (which they provide too!), some to the new home, and some things moved to one of our businesses. They executed everything with ease and made a typically REALLY stressful experience, easy and manageable. We are using them soon for a long-distance move, to relocate some items from storage to a summer home. You can not go wrong with these guys (they really know what they are doing), and they were just an entire team of wonderful people.

My mother was recommended this mover by her contractor, the original estimate was to be a "total" estimate to pack-move out-warehouse her items offsite for a term-move her items back in. She then pre-packed/moved offsite a significant amount of items prior to her move day to reduce her overall costs but upon end of just the packing day (before actual move day) the movers were demanding payment for their first step (requirement not conveyed in their estimate) and it was already 141% of original estimate. Calls were made to the owner in San Jose (this firm goes by Silicon Valley Moving & Storage as well and is administered by that office) regarding the grossly underestimated job but return calls (or emails) were returned only once calculated to annoy and hold to their costs opinion and take no side with their clients concerns.

Something fishy is going on here. A company by this name and in this city & state tried to scam me for a bogus delivery. The phone number listed does not go to that number and is forwarded to a different number. We are reporting this and turning over all the Emails. I would AVOID!

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY WHATSOEVER.
We spoke to the woman who picked up the phone the day before (09/28) confirming our 9 am slot time to move for today (09/29). They tell us on the phone on (09/28) they will be coming at 7am to start the moving tomorrow, so we are all ready at 7am today & no one shows up ALL DAY. We thought maybe they are coming at 9 am... we get no sort of call saying they are running late or any communication whatsoever that no one is ACTUALLY coming. We called the business number associated multiple times to see if we needed to look for new movers or if they were still coming??? Around noon we decided to start looking for new movers because we all took off work and this was our only day to move. No one else is available on short notice, but we booked Home Movers 2 weeks in advance for today.
