WORST MOVING COMPANY - DON'T USE THEM!!!
Complaint to Better Business Bureau on 6/16 at 10:30AM: To whom it may concern: When I initially spoke to David Johnson at to New City Movers in May 2020, all was happy dandy, but when it was closer to my move date, he started dodging my calls, he claimed that he doesn't work on Friday's and asked Kelly in customer service called me to confirm my move date and pick up details. details. My moving Now company is City Movers, 4301 E Street, Lincoln NE 68510, Phone: (888) 907-1602, DOT #: 2365170 MC #: 836568 has emotionally distressed me for the past 5 days (from 6/12 - current). The movers were supposed to arrive on 6/15/2020 at 9AM, they showed up at 11:30AM. They stated that they are only responsible for certain items and will not be taking all of my items to the truck, neither would they assemble or disassemble any of my furniture which is apart of my initial contract!! The main moving guy and I got into a screaming match...he decided to call customer service from my patio and lied and said I was being belligerent, so when they called to speak to me, that conversation didn't go too well. Kelly in customer service started cursing and screaming at me that I need to pay $600 extra...because of shuttle service an cubic feet difderences......she also didn't tell me that I was sharing moving trucks with 2 other families. I almost had a gasket when I found out from Shay in Customer service. I agree to pay the extra $600 and specifically asked if there were any more charges that they are not telling me about...they said no...there's nothing else for you to pay! They also left the remainder of my items which were 20 pieces in my old apartment and said they were not responsible for taking it to my new place, and that I must call Donald Trump when I threaten to record them! The movers were to arrive in NY at between 1 - 3PM, but they arrived last night (same day of my move) at 9PM and demanding me to pay $200 more in CASH and I refused, so I called 911 immediately. They said this is a civil matter, but it will be recorded. I also called City Movers upon arrival and asked how long will it be before they deliver my items...I was told that Shay when the movers will be handling my account. She said she will find out the details and return my call. After 1 hour later.. I recalled he and she stated that she also had phone issues on 6/15th and claimed that their system had failed, so she called me from her personal phone at four zero four- eight two eight- zero three one zero to get nasty with me and hung up the phone in my ears several times and told me that I will have respect for her...because she deserve respect from everyone....I almost passed out...that conversation didn't go well...she dodged my calls and acted as if I didn't call her earlier..and she didn't know who she was speaking with. I was flabbergasted. I can't believe after a nasty day of emotionally distress from New City Movers they showed up yesterday, 6/15 at 9PM to deliver my furniture and items...who the heck delivers furniture from 1:30PM - 9PM....what were they all day?? Apparently they were busy delivery other people's furniture items ...I am literally shocked at this display. I am emotionally distressed 10 million percent. My blood pressure went through the roof and I almost ended up in the hospital from screaming matches with Kelly, Shay and the movers. While David Johnson was missing in action...because that's how they run their business....they all tried to get more money our of me. I am very sorry, I don't walk around with $200 cash to give any movers or delivery person at 9PM at night!! I wish them the best of luck because I plan to file a lawsuit if I don't receive my items asap. Four Paws Moving and Storage
No stress needed at all
I always thought moving companies are no good. Then I hired Four paws moving and storage that completely changed my mind. I got a hint of their efficiency when I called them first. Their customer service was very helpful and prompt. Their quote was unbeatable. The best part of their service was the movers. They were so punctual and efficient. The movers were so fast at the packing and loading process. The delivery was made on time and everything was in perfect condition. Many thanks to them and we would definitely recommend them to others.

Professional
Gm van lines was the most professional moving company I have dealt with. They sent some one out to give me an exact quote in advance. They were on time and did everything as described. It couldn't have been better. They called in advance of showing up. They made sure my things were ready and they protected my things. They. Are great. They handle it from A to Z. Family Movers Express of South Florida
great workers
I called and spoke to George on 6/1. I was given an estimate of $1800 for my move with 3 guys and a 26 ft truck. No packing/unpacking services. My movers were Max and Gary. They were 5 minutes early when they arrived, and the first thing they did is to bring moving blankets in the house. They wrapped everything. When we go to the new house they unloaded and set up the furniture as I requested. They even cleaned up after themselves. I have already referred them to my Realtor. We ll be moving out of here in a year so we will use them again for sure

Fraudulent Documents and Damaged Belongings
Safebound prepared fraudulent documents and damaged our belongings during my family's move last July. In working through complaints with various consumer and government agencies, they have repeatedly accused me of lying (despite evidence to the contrary) and have offered only 8% of our moving costs in exchange for our silence. I believe the public deserves to hear about my experience and include it below. Safebound Logistics sent only one person to load our belongings (Mike P.), and we saw him damage a Paloma II dining table and Andover floor mirror, both from Crate

Sprint Van Lines
They take pride in their work
I had a large move with lots of fragile items. The crew took their time and didn't rush in making sure everything was protected during packing and arriving. They were all very courteous and customer service minded which made a stressful situation more pleasant. If you want a moving company that takes pride in their work, I recommend Sprint Van Lines.

Morse Moving & Storage

TLDR at the end. I went with the cheapest of three quotes and I regret it. John Green did a nice job of remotely estimating my move (due to COVID, we had a video chat) which was on the smaller side of a typical amount of goods to be moved from Ohio to Virginia. The total came out to just over $3,500 and I thought that was a very reasonable price and about 15% cheaper than the next highest bid. Due to the smaller load, it had to be packed onto one truck, transported on that truck to a warehouse in Michigan, then stored until it could be loaded onto a different truck that was making multiple stops heading east. I understand that is how they make small moves economical and I accepted that the delivery window would be 3 weeks long. After the movers packed my goods the scheduler, Tracey Pritchett contacted me and I agreed to a delivery on 5/16/2020 between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM. I called on Friday 5/15/2020 at 2:30 PM to confirm the delivery and was told that "I am your next call, let me doublecheck and call you back". I called back at 5:25 PM to again confirm with Tracey and she confirmed that the delivery would arrive the following day. The next morning at 9:30 AM my phone rings. It's Tracey. She has called to inform me that not only will my goods not be delivered today, but they haven't even been loaded on the truck in Michigan. She doesn't know why the driver couldn't make the delivery because he never returned any of her messages, she "assumed everything was good to go". I later get a call on Monday 5/18/2020 and Tracey informs me that my goods will be delivered on Friday 5/22/2020. I inform her that I am already scheduled out of town for work Friday through Saturday and I cannot be there to accept delivery and there is no one else in the household; I asked for delivery on Thursday. Impossible, she states. Her supervisory Bethany Gutowski calls me back later to verify that I cannot be there to accept delivery on Friday. I confirm emphatically, I will be working out of town. Today, 5/20/2020 I receive an email with an invoice for an additional $1,041 for storage from Friday through next Tuesday and they will be able to deliver my goods on Wednesday. They won't even tell me what time the delivery will be until the day before. I do have a new job that doesn't allow me to just phone it in. I guess that doesn't matter to them. TLDR: I paid for a service to pack and move household good for me. They did a great job packing them. The transportation of them from Point A to Point B resulted in them standing me up on a CONFIRMED delivery with less than 1 hour notice, then informing me that if I couldn't be at my new residence to accept delivery on the date that they TOLD me I HAD to be there, it results in an additional charge of $1,041 to 'store my goods' for an additional 6 days. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MORSE MOVING AND STORAGE. In fact, I highly recommend that you take the next highest bid, which for me was "Two Men and a Truck" for my particular move. I have been on hold with them for enough time to have heard over and over on their on-hold voice messaging that 'mistakes are costly', doing moves the first time is important to them', and 'customer satisfaction is their number one priority'. Not true. I wish I would have checked reviews on them before making a decision! *If you can't accept delivery on the day they direct, you are SOL and will be charged whatever they feel like.

The team showed up right on time and took care to wrap all our heavy furniture items and make sure they were moved quickly and carefully. They also showed up with a very large moving truck and were able to fit our entire one bedroom apartment in one trip. They were very professional, friendly and careful. They even had on masks and distanced themselves which is appreciated during these Coronavirus times. They moved our items in a timely manner and were not trying to run the clock or waste any time. We would definitely recommend them

One Move Movers
Excellent service
We just finished our Long Distance move with One Move. They were amazing! We contacted them just a few weeks before and they were extremely responsive. They gave a completely reasonable quote and then confirmed a few days before move day. The pick up went so smoothly! Armando and his team showed up early, got right to work, and packed everything extremely well. They were efficient and friendly. We had 3 guys which made it go even faster and while we went a little longer than their estimate, there were no hidden fees and it was a very fair price at the end compared to what we had been quoted elsewhere. They delivery everything today and I was so impressed with their ability and how cautiously they handled all my furniture. I never thought moving from Bay Area to LA would be so easy, I’m very thankful for this guys. We will absolutely recommend and use them again if needed in the future!

moving in this situation was really stressful and we had to close on our new hour and had to move last week and were looking for moving company got sfl worldwide reference form my neighbor. we hired sfl worldwide 3 men crew and truck for our 4 bedroom house move. estimated time to start move was between 8am to 10am and crew arrived at 8:20am and got right to work. crew was profession and did know their job. I am thankful that sfl was working during this covid situation and made my move a hassle free move.

Moving of America

I used Moving of America to move very heavy furniture to the second floor up narrow, tricky stairs. I called three other moving companies they saw what the move entailed, and they declined the job. I went back on the internet and chose Moving of America which was a great choice. Five moving guys wrapped the furniture and had it up the stairs in short time. Very happy with them and would hire them again.

Good Movers.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! DO NOT USE GREAT VAN LINES OR ANY OF THEIR PARTNER COMPANIES! We booked them for a cross country move and the entire experience from beginning to end was unbelievably HORRENDOUS. They give you an estimate WITHOUT physically assessing what needs to be moved and give you a low price "only to be increased by 3 to 5 times" just to get the contract signed, with a "NON-REFUNDABLE" down payment. BAIT
