In 1948 Al Sr. began his company from home with nothing but a single moving van and the aspirations of revolutionizing an industry. Al s philosophy was to provide each and every client with a distinctive level quality and personalized service and the most affordable rates around. With a tireless work ethic and a commitment to customer satisfaction, Al’s became a prominent name among local movers. Al married his wife Veronica in 1952 and the pair worked together in their tiny home office. After 10 years of marriage, their son Al Jr. was born in 1962. By the time he was 9 years old he had already developed his father’s work ethic and love affair with trucks- to the point where his parents had to hide the keys from him! Even at that young age, he would spend his time in the summer and on weekends helping to load and offload them. When Al was contemplating retirement in 1980, his son began working with him full-time. The two worked together to oversee the expansion of the company into an industry leader. A few years later, history repeated itself- Al Jr. met his future wife Sandra who became an integral part of the office staff. From this point on, Al’s became the company it is today. What began with a single truck and limited space is now an operation that includes 25 trucks, 6 warehousing facilities and over 30 valued employees- some with anywhere from 10 to 30 years spent with us. Al Jr. is currently working with his two sons (Al III and Joe) to establish a third generation of family ownership. While so much has changed over the past 60+ years our commitment to quality, personalized service and customer satisfaction remain constant. With each and every job we do it is our goal to impress you with our courtesy and professionalism- just as our founder had always sought out to do.

Comment : I used Al's Movers to move me to my new home in White Plains. Al came over at my house personally and gave me a quote. He was quick and professional and very responsive. The price he gave me was the price I paid. When the big day came his movers did everything from packing to loading and unloading and all my items in my house. They were fast, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Everything in my home was packed and unpacked and not a single thing was broken. I have heard horror stories from friends and colleagues that have told me their movers have broken and lost many items. I did not even have one glass broken as they took extra care to make sure all my personal belongings were properly stored and secured. This was my first home I purchased an Al's Movers made it a seamless transition. With all the stress I already had of buying a new home the move was the easiest part of it. Al's movers made it extremely easy and affordable for me and alleviated much of stress of that day. I have used different moving companies in the past and there is no comparison to Al's Movers they are the best in the area and being a family run business they take pride in what they do.

Comment : An estimator from Al's moving quoted 2 trucks to move my business in 1 day. That morning they showed up with 1 truck which was not large enough to make the move in 1 day. Eventually after complaining to Al (owner) they sent a 2nd truck. By 3PM they finally loaded the 2nd truck and headed up to my new business location. At 4PM they told me that I would have to pay overtime rates for every hour they were there after 4PM. I told them I was quoted a price and that it was not my fault the trucks were loaded too slow. After an argument (I was civil and professional) Al told his foreman to take my stuff off the truck and leave it outside the building. It was Friday evening and I could not find another company on short notice so I agreed to pay the overtime. This was extortion in my view and likely a common practice. I would steer clear of this company as they are not trustworthy and in my case they were not honest.

Comment : I recently moved from White Plains to Boca Raton and used Al's moving for this very big move. The process was as smooth as could be. The men who loaded the truck, were professional, kind, and very accommodating of my needs. When it came to unloading, the men who did this were so professional that I actually was able to sit back and let them do the placement of all the furniture and boxes. Joey, was very fair with his pricing, and I feel that you should contact him for any move you may make. Joey provided the wardrobe boxes for me and have been delivered to my apartment. Obviously, this is an extremely stressful situation, but using Al's moving made it a stress-free as possible.

Comment : Everything was carefully prepared and placed in the truck for safe transport for my move from Port Chester to Mamaroneck. The men assigned the job worked hard and were very careful with my belongings. I would recommend and not hesitate to use again.
