I hired this company approximately a month ago. I called to confirm twice and ask basic logistically questions. The move was a basic but large family move, 4 bedrooms, and garage. The service was booked for Saturday 06/27/2020. I hired a 3 team moving crew. The booked time was 8 am-10 am. The company was booked solely because of the great service they provided to my grandmother during her move over 4 months ago. These are the facts. The full complaint is listed on the BBB website. In short. They never showed up on 06/27/2020. They showed up a day late! Unprofessional and not managed properly. Please get a backup plan for your staff.

Very professional.
George and his crew were excellent when moving my furniture from one place to the other, they were very careful by covering my furniture with moving blankets and wrapping paper. When they got to the house the unloaded and put every together. Very professional. Thank you George.

Great American Moving & Storage-TX
poor experience.
1.5 days late for the full pack; did not bring enough supplies to pack and bubble wrap everything - we had to go to Walmart at midnight to get more; threw things in boxes without wrapping when we werenot watching; overpacked book boxes; doubled the moving and packing prices while we they were packing because the contents were far more than estimated by an over-the-phone interview; required all but $750 paid up front; the furniture movers seemed pretty good at padding and moving, but the packing job was unacceptable. We received the items in both states with less breakage than feared, but two broken tables, two lamps broken so far, and an expensive desk chair that was delivered duct taped together so we wouldnot notice the breakage. We learned that we paid as much as if we had gone with a big experienced moving company such as Mayflower, Allied or Atlas, but got third rate service and care. In retrospect, we shouldnot have expected to save money by going with an smaller name mover.

Horrible dishonest company.
Horrible dishonest company. Would not recommend to anyone. After a year, our home did not sell so we notified them we were no longer moving. They refused to return our deposit. Stay as far away from this company as you can.

Great Plains Moving & Storage
Great experience.
The pickup went fairly well except I did find a couple of items that they missed getting. The delivery was complicated by the fact that the movers had to use a U-Haul truck to get the items to our door, as we live in a rural area. They did well with that, but I was a little disappointed, as someone told me that the movers should replace mirrors on dressers and reassemble other items that had been taken apart and this was not done. Also we received two boxes that are not ours, so it makes me wonder if I received all of my boxes.

On time, efficient, friendly and fun, polite, and careful with my things.
I will definitely be using this company again! Finding trustworthy help makes the moving process much less stressful! Dylan, Ronnie, and Tyree were efficient with time and very respectful of our belongings. Crew leader Chris was very professional throughout the whole process by communicating exactly what they were going to do. YOU MOVE ME for being AWESOME!!!
My move went GREAT from start to finish I was provided a 9to11 window with a promise to get a call before 9am and the day of my move I did receive that call at 8:30am from nick who assured me that my move would go as smooth as possible which made me feel awesome he even offered me A CUP OF COFFEE which made me feel even more comfortable with this moving service. At exactly 9am the guys showed up introduced themselves (Nick,Adriano) you can tell these guys had a lot of experience between them all they instructed me to do was point at what needs to go and they went right to work TRUE MOVING PROFESSIONALS they truly respected my property and professionally wrapped my furniture items so no damage could occur. These men where AWESOME they where very fast, efficient and careful. YOU MOVE ME has provided me with a GREAT moving experience and I would have no problem recommending this service to anyone. Last but not least the free ward robe service was awesome because I didnot have to pack my closet all I had to do was hang my close inside the ward robe box. Thank You. YOU MOVE ME for being AWESOME!!!

Most reliable moving company.
We were moving to Boston, and the scheduled time of the move they gave was between 8-9 am. The three who showed up, Paul (the foreman), Johnny and Mathew, were great. They started loading our stuff at 9am, took exactly two hours. They were very fast, the drive from NY to Boston was supposed to take them around 4.5 hrs, however these guys got to our Boston residence before we did in around 4 hrs. We arrived about 10min later (we took our time, thinking we will be getting there faster in any case!).

From coming out to make an estimate to the delivery and unloading of our furniture, everyone with whom we dealt was most helpful. We were especially impressed with the two men who came and packed up or furniture and then drove and delivered it to our place in Bellevue.

We treated our packers extremely well: we purchased them what they asked for lunch and approached them with deference. At that point we had about $1000 in things stolen from one packer specifically. A few of our things stolen were of high money related quality, while two or three our things were of nostalgic worth that can NEVER be supplanted. Stay away from this moving company that brags they just contract individuals with respectability; we were tricked.

This review of a moving company, VanLines USA out of Hollywood, FL, “Your Out of State Mover”, DOT#579922, is written to share my horrendous moving experience with them. They were hired by New Lead Moving Group, a moving broker. First of all, they were late. They arrived at night, instead of morning, on the agreed date for the move. My house closing was scheduled for the next day. All day they made excuses and pushed out arrival. In the second place, when they finally arrived about 7pm, the immediate concern was to raise the price of the moving cost, citing unforeseen work that my move would entail, this in spite of my very precise inventory list. The boss Israeli guy said if I did not like it, I could cancel the move. He knew the sale of my house was the next day. I felt like a hostage held for ransom. The new price was almost double. Third, with only 2 men on the job, it would be very tight to get everything moved out for a walkthrough by the buyer to take place and closing to occur so my realtor called the Isreali’s boss and asked to hire some additional workers to help with the move.
