Moving Recommendation
I received a standard quote for two hours minimum. I had three young men show up to move me and they were ALL very professional and knocked out my move out from a downstairs unit to a move in of an upstairs unit. They knocked it out within an hour. I was very pleased with my service and would recommend to anyone. Those young men deserved their 25% tip for sure. Thank you to You Move Me Tulsa

DO NOT HIRE THEM
DC MARKET - DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. They are super communicative until moving day, and then they will no-show and dodge your calls! Today is my moving day. The movers were meant to arrive between 9-11 am. Last night at 7 pm, just 14 hours before the arrival window, I get a text from Chase asking me if I can reschedule to one day later because he isn’t available. I said I cannot reschedule because my landlord expects me out, I can’t get parking permits on short notice, etc. - you know, all the normal reasons why a move, unlike a haircut, can’t just be rescheduled on 14 hours notice. Chase said that he will try to get a team assigned to my move. I asked for confirmation once that is done, which I didn’t get. Fast forward to this morning. Still no word from Chase confirming that someone is coming to move me. At around 9:20 am, Chase tells me to contact the “main boss†(who I assume is Scott Sanderson) or Christine. He gave me Christine’s number. I called her, she said she would get back to me in 15 minutes. A couple hours and several unanswered calls and texts to both Scott and Christine later, Christine texts me to say that “customer service†is trying to reach me but can’t get through. I said I’ve been sitting next to my phone for hours, so that’s impossible. After I asked for it a couple times, she finally gave me their number. I called, no answer so I left a message. I also doubt whether it’s actually customer service because there was no outgoing message. Then Christine asked me to call Chase to sort it out - even though Chase, who at this point has been ignoring me for hours, told me to contact Christine. After hours of this, Chase texts me at around 1:30 - my move was supposed to be done or almost done by then - to finally admit that no one is going to help me today, and asks if I’m able to book someone else. On a Sunday. For a same-day move. Still haven’t figured out what the heck I’m gonna do because it’s a Sunday during a pandemic. But I didn’t want to waste any time letting you all know NOT TO BOOK THESE PEOPLE.

ABS moving and storage helped me move a few months ago and they did an amazing job. They quoted me reasonably and promised to send capable movers. The movers arrived on time and were carrying the right tools. They were very efficient. They packed all my belongings with cautiously and proficiently. They loaded my furniture into the van with no efforts. The delivery was made on time and I couldn’t find anything to fault with. It's not every day one comes across such responsible men!

Seemed Nice - Terrible Results
I know that everyone hates their movers, but after my 4th cross country move Braha was the worst I've dealt with. Their quote ended up being half of the actual charge, but by the time they are there to pick up the house, there is little choice left than to pay the extra $3,000. I had more things poorly packed and broken than any of my other moves. Things like paintings stretched, tall glass vases broken, and more. Honestly, the majority of our boxes looked like someone had dropped them from the truck - squished on the bottom with broken everything. Bad communication, bad estimate, bad delivery. Pay the extra and go with a big-name mover, it'll wind up being the same price in the end.

This company conducted a local g distance move for me, and I felt pretty comfortable with them after the initial estimate. Customer service was professional, and they worked with me on delivery dates despite my somewhat rigid schedule. They were not the cheapest, but were far from the most expensive, offering a great value for a professional service. The move was completed without incident, and it was a big help to not have to move the items myself! Overall I am pleased with ABS moving and storage and would consider using them again if I need to move in the future.

My move was sudden to the point that I didn't have any schedule-wise to pack every one of my things all alone. I hired ABS moving and storage for their stunning performance and trusted they could work some miracle into this move. It was a decent choice on my part since these movers made my life so natural. The movers arrived appropriate on time on the moving day. They packed everything faultlessly and afterward loaded in the van. . The whole thing was running like clockwork. I haven’t seen such efficiency in a long time. They delivered all the things just on the booked time. They unloaded and set up every one of my things. I am genuinely grateful to this stunning organization.

Moving 10 years of hoarded junks is not an easy job. But that was the task I hired ABS moving and storage to do. Amazingly, the movers who were sent from the company seemed completely oblivious of how much belongings we had. They just methodically packed and loaded everything we own onto their van. The whole thing happened so fast. They delivered on time and my belongings were all in great shape. This is a hard job. But the movers make it seem so easy.

AVOID STEELE AND VAUGHN FOR INTERSTATE MOVES I am a senior professional who has moved 12 times over 35 yrs (including internationally) and my move with SV was the worst move experience I have ever had. I don't generally write reviews of this type but I feel compelled to do so now to warn others. I initially used SV for a move from VA to GSO in 2018 and it was handled well. Based on that, I returned to SV 18 months later for a move to Houston. SV told me they regularly handle interstate moves. Here's what happened: - My initial plan was to move directly to HOU in March, after I found a home here. However, 2 wks before Christmas, I received an offer on my house in GSO which required me to vacate in early Jan. SV said “no problem.†However, then the problems emerged fast and furious. - 1st, I asked for my shipment to be sent directly to HOU and stored here. As SV does not have an affiliate in HOU, they convinced me to store in GSO where they could control the cost (i.e., collect the storage fees). • 2nd, I now had to pay for 2 moves – a local move into their GSO storage facility and an interstate move to HOU. At this point, I should have realized that SV could not handle the move. But, at the time, I was dealing with everything that comes with selling a home, starting a new job, traveling for work, and preparing for the move and the holidays. • 3rd, after the truck moved away, I discovered that a small suitcase and 2 chair cushions were loaded onto the truck by mistake, items in the guest toilet were left behind, and damage was done to the door sills. - 4th, after scheduling the move to HOU, SV called to ask me about delivery logistics in HOU. They had looked at my address on Google Maps and concluded that they could not park their truck on my street. This was probably right, but one would expect that they knew how to deal with this. After all, they are a moving company. Nope. The requests I received were to ask my landlord and call the City of HOU to determine if I needed to get a permit for their truck. This request came in the middle of a very busy work week as I was adjusting to a new job in a new city. Nevertheless, I immediately tried to get in touch with my landlord (but he did not respond) and I said that I would drive by the house over the weekend. As I was getting pressure from SV for an answer, I took the logical next step – I called other moving companies in HOU to determine how they would handle the delivery. • 5th, as I talked to other movers, I thought it advisable to consider having another mover collect my items in GSO and deliver them to HOU as SV was increasingly appearing to be unfit for this portion of my move. So, I asked for information from SV about wgt and cu ft to find out what it would cost to have someone else deliver them. • 6th, within less than 60 mins of finding out that I was considering other options (and more than 2 wks before my scheduled delivery), Bryan Jones, the SV owner, unilaterally cancelled my scheduled move and told me to get another mover. This was done by email (without the courtesy of a call) and despite my advising him that I was simply trying to get information on how to get my move done efficiently on the basis that SV had placed on me the onus of working out the HOU logistics. • What followed were the torpedoing of my very busy workweek arranging another mover, extra cost, and a series of emails from Bryan seeking to justify with selective facts his unprofessional judgment and business practice of unilaterally cancelling a scheduled move for a 2-time existing customer (who he referred to as a “potential customer†despite the fact that my 14,000 lbs of household furnishings were sitting in his warehouse) without the courtesy of a discussion to work out what could have been chalked down to, at best, a mis-communication or, at worst, a job that was too big for SV to handle. My dismay with SV remains as I unpack my shipment to find crushed and broken items and unusual packing decisions (Why is the power cord for the TV on the 3rd floor packed with the dishes from the 1st floor? Why was a heavy item packed on top of a $250 flower arrangement? Why are heavy items packed at the bottom of dishpack size boxes? Etc). I have asked Mr. Jones to refund a portion of the fees that I paid to SV to cover the added expense of hiring a 2nd moving company and to remediate the low service quality. His response has been to accuse me of “extortionâ€, to threaten to report me to the Bar and to repeat his selective facts justifying his decision to cancel my move, which he will no doubt post here. As I have no desire to deal with him further, I’m chalking this up to a bad experience to learn from. My recommendation to others: If you have a complex, long-distance move, take the time and make the investment to go with a reputable national/international moving company and steer well clear of SV.

I have use several times this company and each time has been a charm. Movers were fast, clean and friendly, always took my instructions joyfully and even a couple times gave me helpful advises on how to handle things, it’s evident they have wide expertise. I will definitely use them again.
