J.H. Craig started a commodities hauling business in 1918, hauling cattle, feed and hay from the rural farms of Virginia to the urban markets of the DC area. In the 1940s, the area started evolving from farmland to residential communities. We had to change with the times, so we began moving people into their homes after hours and in our spare time. My father, Dick and his brothers: Earl, Jim and Bob decided to go full time. In the 1980s, my son and I took over the business. I brought with me the pride to do a good job at a reasonable price. We expanded our local moving business to the reaches of Maine and Florida and as far west as the Mississippi river. As the millennium unfolds, I ve turned the reigns over to my son, Fred C. Craig III knowing that he will provide the same quality service that our family has given this community for over 80 years.

Comment : I could not be happier with our move. They were very responsive and fair with their estimate. The movers were fast, they did not waste any time, but they were careful, NO DAMAGE! Nicolas was awesome and so nice!All employees were courteous!! My sister had a very similar experience, so we waited an extra do so they could do our move. Also a friend another friend got a quote from Craig Van lines, but went with a cheaper mover and were very sorry they did. Be wary of other bad review, almost sounds like a competitor, just my opinion. I absolutely would recommend these guys and would not hesitater to use them again.

Comment : Complete bait and switch “non-binding” estimates. Told them exactly what I wanted on walk through and my bill ballooned $900 on delivery. When I questioned the new bill it was a 4 month response time to demand payment within 10 days. Absolutely get it writing or don’t do business with these people. I recommend not even bothering and just hire 2 Marines and a truck. At least they are honest...

Comment : Craig Van lines are a great moving company. Ive known them for a while now as many people that I know have used these guys while relocating and transporting of goods. They tell me that they always have a great experience with them and they are the most affordable movers in the area. The professionalism shown by them is amazing and Ive witnessed it perfectly. They are very punctual and they know their jobs really well. Go for Craig movers and youd definitely pick them again.

Comment : I used Craig Van Lines to move during the pandemic of all times. From making the initial appointment for the estimator to visit my home to the movers I am so pleased with my experience. My movers were AWESOME They were on time, reliable kind and professional. I was nervous about using a moving company to move but I will definitely use Craig Van Lines again in the future

Comment : I have used this family owned Moving company Craig Van lines. I use them for my business to move all the furniture out of one model store it for four months. When it came back both on the pick up and delivery again the movers on the truck were unbelievable, careful and on time. Even more impressive when they brought it back after Storch nothing was broken and very organized to go in the rooms to limit extra labor once they were gone. I have recommended him to many friends as well as clients and will always use them in the future!! Thank you Craigs.
