The ability to plan and execute moves of every size and complexity, from the large corporate move to the small residential move requires the same expertise and attention in planning. Holiday Van & Storage was established in the 1930s in Council Bluffs, Iowa as a drayage company delivering goods for the railroad. In the 1950s we moved to Omaha, Nebraska near the current Greyhound Bus Terminal. Thirty years later we moved to Dahlman Avenue and in 2011 moved to our current location. The main focus of the company over the past 80 plus years has been providing moving services. Initially goods were delivered from the rail head to homes and business. As the times changed and the railroad delivered fewer products, it was discovered that people were willing to pay someone else to pick up and move their furniture when relocating to a new house. As our society became more mobile, cross country moves became a bigger part of the market. Relocating military personnel also became a major factor in the customer mix along with commercial and industrial clients for office and factory moves.

Comment : For future reference, nobody ever use Holiday Van and Storage Omaha Nebraska for any of your moving needs. They were the movers that the military contracted to move us to Springfield and they somehow "lost" almost half of our belongings, broke my coffeetable and somehow forgot to take a 55inch TV off their truck as well. They were supposed to show up in the afternoon and did not even get to our house until 11pm so we were up until 1 with them unpacking the van. They said they have the TV, which has not been shipped back to us even though its been 2 weeks, but the rest is just lost and we have to just deal with it. I can put a claim in for most of it, but they lost all of my pictures and wall art and all of the kids special boxes of photos and awards and special items that I have saved since birth, not to mention almost all of Joes military awards. They said just put a claim in but how do you put a monetary value on these special items? You cannot. Sickens me that this is how they do business and are okay with their driver not knowing where our stuff is. I will be calling the BBB in Omaha tomorrow to, to put in a complaint against them as well. Pass this on folks... this company does not care, DONT USE THEM EVER!
