Olympia moving & storage

We just moved from a 4 story townhouse in Cambridge to a single level house in Lexington MA. Olympia was recommended by our real estate agent. While our last move was 20 years ago, we had done about eight corporate relocations. This move was the best ever. The company followed up every day, everything was as agreed, the crew was careful and considerate; All the boxes were well labeled. As we unpack, we are finding everything well cared for. The crew also took the time for us to do several walk-throughs and a few rearrangements. All good. Olympia would be our go-to mover next time. A+

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Intense movers helped us move from the West village to Hoboken and did an amazing job. They were easy to work with leading up to the move and checked in the night before for an updated inventory and to confirm everything. they were incredibly efficient, friendly and professional. cannot recommend enough

very professional, experienced and accommodating
I wish I could put more than five stars. They did a perfect job. They installed three marble statues in my backyard. I highly recommend this company. They were very professional, polite and the price was very reasonable. They came on time and had a good sense of humor. I was very happy with their service. Thanks again for the wonderful job.

Zhangs Moving Company
super friendly and very professional
Zhangs team was able to move a piano for me on the same day I called them, for a competitive price. They were careful to protect it from damage, and also to protect the floors and doorways. Everyone on the team was very friendly (and very strong)! They were efficient, but also waited for us to get the proper keys when we were not able to get into the house, and even helped fix a previously wobbly leg on the piano bench. They also made sure we were happy with the final location of the piano and that everything was set up as we wanted. I had definitely call them for any future moves!”

Zephyr Moving
great experience and great follow up
After having such a great experience with my first move (or unloading), I decided to use the "Mikes" again. The weather was unfavorable with my move on Sunday (6/4), however Walker and his team came out and did an amazing job. They made sure that all of my furniture were wrapped in sheets, then rewrapped in saran wrap to keep everything nice and dry. Jeff, the team lead on the job came out with 2 other people. Jeff was a very determined man who made sure the job at hand went as smooth and flawless as it went for me my previous move. The team laid down carpet on my wood floor to make sure nothing was ruined with all the rain. They also took their time with the ramp by putting down a carpet on that (to prevent them from slipping). Jeff made a very good modification by saran wrapping his boots, so that he was able to walk around the house to the backyard to bring forward all of my lawn furniture, as well as BBQ instead of dragging it through the house. Mike (walker) was also on site for the beginning of the move to make sure everything was going alright as well, and to help his team with any issues that may arise. Like the last time, the team were very polite, calling myself "Sir" and my wife "Maam", and followed direction very well. When the old house was all packed up, it took them 20 minutes to get to the new house (faster than me!) and started up right away. They took great direction from my wife moving items around the house...from going to the back of the house for all of the patio furniture through bringing in all the mattresses to each room. It did take a lot longer than expected...but it was due to the rain. They had to wrap up everything to prevent any water damage. That took a lot longer than we anticipated. Overall, it took around 4.75 hours for a complete project. When it was all over, we did a final walk through and I was able to settle my bill over the phone with Potts, via credit card. Tipped the 2 workers a standard 20, and the senior lead, $40... As noted and stated before...with their professionalism, honesty and integrity, there is not much competition...and they are my clear choice for moving in the future as well.

I would not recommend at all
Zippy Shell Northern Virginia held my belongings hostage until I paid a bill for different customer. I hired Zippy Shell to pack, store and return my belongings, my contract with them began in May and lasted through November. I paid them each month and had no major issues. My aunt also needed moving and storage services so I assisted her in setting up a contract with them. She also paid each month with no issue from July through August. When funds were deducted from her bank account in September she found it suspicious, contacted her bank and claimed the company was fraudulently taking money from her. The bank filed a claim and withdrew the money from Zippy Shell. On November 23, 2020 I received an email from Zippy Shell informing me of my aunts faux pas and requested the funds be returned. I agreed to assist with the matter informing them that it may take a few days to contact and explain the mistake to my aunt due our distance and conflicting schedules. On November 24 I received an email stating that my belongings would be returned between 7:30am and 9:30am the next day. At 10am on November 25, I received another email stating that my belongings would NOT be returned until my aunt returned the funds she claimed were fraudulent. My contract with Zippy Shell and my aunts contract are two separate contracts, I simply referred her to them and assisted with setting up the communication. Bill Shannon the Manager of Zippy Shell Northern Virginia, threatened to sue both myself and my aunt. He was extremely rude and disrespectful, unwilling to listen to my explanation of my aunts illiteracy challenges and that as her Power of Attorney I still needed to speak with and explain to her the reason why Zippy Shelly charged her account in September. My belonging should never be held as ransom/hostage for her billing issues. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

I was very impressed with the service we got from You Move Me Toronto. They were so helpful in every aspect of our move; from helping prepare us for what we would need to do to make the move easier, to helping us understand all the elements of moving (switching service providers for phone/internet, hydro, gas, etc...). When the YYM team arrived, they were very professional and careful with everything we had. They were even solution oriented to help us solve a problem we had with unwanted furniture that was in good condition. They have partnered with the Furniture Bank. Awesome experience

Yucca moved me from Las Vegas, Nevada to San Antonio Texas. I had different crews at each location. This was the best military move in 23 years. Nothing was broken, first time ever I did not have to file a claim after a move. Their drivers and crew were professional and helpful. They even went above and beyond to help me put a new bedroom set together that was still in the boxes. Mind you, the apartment complex I moved into decided to repave the roads, so they had to park the semi on the street, get a small pick up, and ferry every item a quarter mile and then haul it up two flights of stairs. I would recommend them to anyone, and I plan to request them if they are available.

We used You Move me on a long distance move from Kansas City to Myrtle Beach. They sent two drivers, Kolby and Chris who drove the 20-hours plus drive in a moving van to get our belongings to us all in tact. These two maintained contact through the journey, they were on time with the actual move in, professional , and courteous. I would CERTAINLY use You Move Me and if possible, this awesome team!!

they damaged my furniture
If they damage any furniture, they will not take responsibility nor cover the cost of the repair! Due to the negligence of their truck driver, they hit and drove up over the storage facility keypad pillar getting in. The truck came down hard and it damaged their truck, popped one of their tires with the truck almost turning over. My antique bed now has a cracked headboard with loose molding and a chunk of wood missing from the top. The footboard was also damaged, along with an antique wooden pillar. I provided pictures of the damage, they sent someone out to my house to take pictures, after moving me, but to no avail. Stall tactics. I was told I could not prove they damaged my furniture. They said they had pay me $.06 per pound citing the contract. How they figured what my bed and pillar weighed was a subjective mystery to me. Their customer service looks out for them, not their customers!

Was only moving a few items and it took longer than anticipated. One guy was new and had to be told everything to do, which really slowed down the process. They destroyed my bookcase and offered $0 in compensation. After opening the one box they moved (I moved all of the boxes myself) I discovered a broken family picture that had survived 45 years previously. One of the movers used plastic wrap to make a belt because his pants were falling off. Nothing like their commercials! They were nice, so they earned two stars for that.

I could not confirm my moving date till the day prior and Winter Moving staff were extremely understanding, responsive, and accommodating. I received my quote and response to my emails within 30min of the request or faster. My movers were punctual and efficient. They helped to disassemble and reassemble furniture and finished work sooner than expected. Great moving service for a great value. Wiltfong Moving & Storage Inc

I have used Wiltfong Moving and Storage four times in the last four years. Once as I worked to move a Notre Dame Institute to a new building and three times for personal moves. I found the staff to be hard working, professional and willing to please. I had several heavy pieces to move, including a player piano from a lower level. The crew talked over a plan and worked together to get it moved and delivered up stairs in my current home. A third party specialist was called in to move a marble top. The third party employee broke the fragile top and was very remorseful. I then worked with Steve at Wiltfong to get a replacement top. Steve made sure I was happy with the replacement top. I cannot say enough good things about this moving company. I will use them again in a few years.

Weil/Thoman Moving & Storage Co
Moving from our home to a condo in town.
Our move with Weil/Thoman was so much better than expected. My husband and I had not moved in 35 years. From the first meeting with Joe we knew we were in the right hands. Diane the office manager and Joe communicated well before and after the move. The team of Dale, Mike, Randy and Robert were professional, efficient, careful with every item and a pleasure to work with. They made this move easy and actually fun. They finished earlier than planned and actually adjusted the rate we owed. We highly recommend Weil/Thoman and we would definitely use them when we move again in 35 years.
