I had a very good moving experience with this company. I called for a number of estimates, as I was moving from Syracuse to Rochester... This is the only company that called me back. I paid a very fair price. They were on time, called before they arrived, very polite and worked very quickly. I moved from a 2 bedroom town house to a 2 bedroom townhouse 1hr and 15 minutes away. Everything completed by 12:00 pm. I would use them again and would also recommend their services. Happy Customer...

Pena Brothers Moving

I have contracted moves with Pena Brothers Moving several times. I am an apartment dweller and have had occasion to move 4 times in the last 8yrs. Next month, I will be relocating in the same building from an upstairs unit to one downstairs. Of course, I will hire Pena Brothers Moving. They are a family owned business. No fancy uniforms or pretention. By the end of the move, you will have made new friends. Three men arrive in a clean, well appointed truck and set about their work immediately, taking great care of your belongings. Theres no problem with having to estimate numbers of boxes and items or fussing about things that you cannot pack in a box like ironing boards. When you call, they will ask a few simple questions about your move like how big is your home and if there are appliances. They are courteous, professional, and friendly. I highly recommend them.

handled our furniture with extreme care
Second time I have used them and I could not ask for better service. The crew that showed up was excellent. Took the time to wrap everything to eliminate any damage. Placed cardboard on the floors and wrapped the stairwell banisters to prevent any damage to the property. There are so many unscrupulous moving companies out there that its refreshing to find one that does what it says and sticks to it. Highly recommend them if your planning a move.

Would never work with this group. The broker openly discussed confidential information on an elevator with a group of people present. She also later disclosed confidential and private information to others. Would not trust her to ever keep information private. Very two faced and back stabbing.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This is the first time we used professional movers. After reading all the information David sent outlining their services and all that was covered we decided to take a chance. So glad we went with their service. The movers, Isaac and John, were amazing. They were professional and cordial at the same time. They worked diligently, efficiently and never broke speed. They never lagged. Everything was delivered without a single scratch! Awesome! I would highly recommend these movers.

Do not use this company
If you are moving, please save yourself the nightmare and choose any company but this one! I recently moved from the east coast to the Midwest and Palmer made the process very stressful. I realize that mistakes can happen during a move, but their absolute lack of professionalism and customer service is inexcusable. Due to their poor planning, my move was delayed several days almost causing me to miss the first day at my new job. When I arrived at my new location, it took weeks for my goods to arrive, and some items were broken and damaged. Palmers communication throughout the process was non existent, they were very difficult to get a hold of, and when you did reach an employee they were rude and acted annoyed. There are far better moving companies out there that will ensure that your move goes smoothly. Do not do business with this company

be aware of this company
Be very careful using this company. They give you a not to exceed when they have calculated and packed your furniture in the contract that is signed, and when my items were moved 10 months later, the not to exceed was changed and increased by 700 even though I ended up moving to a closer location then previously thought. You pay top dollar to have everything packed, stored, and moved, so the added surprise at the end of the day makes this company way more then any of the other moving companies I had looked at by a lot! Compare carefully and know that the price will change when the final move is done!

Beware of this business. Moved my furniture approx 1000 miles. Upon arrival at my new place, as Dirks mover he hired unloaded my items and unwrapped my furniture we noticed damage to several pieces. The mover said it was a terrible job of packing and created the obvious damage from moving. Cardboard was placed around wood items, which traveling this distance rubbed off the varnish and created grooves in the wood. My entire new bed platform wrecked. Deep scratches in my large fireplace entertainment unit, dresser and brand new China hutch. The mover called Dirk to tell him the wheels on the coffee are broke and it was upon arrival and something he did not do. My 3 boxes marked fragile all had broken glass. Called Dirk the next day and he told me most people take off the casters on their coffee table. Its a lift table Heavy. Not easy to move on carpet plus not good for legs or carpet. He told me I could buy casters at Home Depot. He said I could get furniture markers and liquid gold to put on my wood pieces. Dirk told me insurance is for if there was damage from a accident on the road when going cross-country. He told me I was not getting new furniture. My furniture was mostly purchased at HOM Furniture and like new! I have what looks like a 5 knife cut from wrapping plastic around leather couch. Its a 4800 custom leather. My dryer has a huge obvious dent in the side. After telling Dirk several times I was not repairing my furniture he ignored calls. I asked several times to file a claim. He ignored emails. Then after getting ahold of him again, he asked for pictures, which I sent several times. He then had some company locally call me to come repair furniture. When asking what they would do, the lady said use a marker. She said the deeper scratches they could not repair at my house. Dirk had told her to repair what they could. The rest he would not do anything. I am NOT having a marker over a greater portion of my platform bed or on the tops of wood pieces that will show at they need to be redone. I filed report with the Better Business Bureau. Dirks response was my furniture was damaged before my move and I just wanted new furniture. I want to keep my furniture. But I want it repaired properly, not some marker job. And move was insured. Dirk then sent to BBB a copy of the inventory list showing the damage that was documented before the move (as proof they did not do the damage). I am not disputing a couple cat scratches and a few dings. I am disputing their damage. What I noticed on the inventory list Dirk sent to BBB is he added additional items at the bottom of his copy of inventory list and forged my signature. After I sent BBB my copy showing proof of altered document, Dirk slung his insults and slandered me, lied about the situation and said I was filing a false claim. I am telling my story so you avoid the same situation. Dirk will reply to this with insults. I had urge you to read the 3 negative reviews in the last year on the BBB website. You will see the similarities in the 3 reports. Dirk refuses to take care of damaged items properly. A reputable company would make the situation right and not throw accusations at the customer. I showed the proof. There are reputable companies out there. I missed the bad reviews when I did my search.

We have used PBP twice now, and they have been utter professionals from the first call to the office to the last crew member bringing up the final box! Our crew this weekend was quick, careful, and courteous. Everything transported and moved exactly where I asked them to without any issues. Nothing was lost, nothing was broken. Oscars was great from the initial inquiry call to the final delivery. Everyone was super responsive and helpful every step of the way. No hidden fees, quote was exactly what we paid. Due to a major blizzard in Boston, in order to keep us on schedule, the pickup was scheduled a day early. The remarkable part was, after all that snow, the truck still left Boston on time to arrive when promised. They certainly had every right to be delayed due to the circumstances but they were not. Alan ( coordinated the move ) Mark ( came to give the quote) George, Joe and Steve ( movers) were all great to work with. We are 100% satisfied and would recommend to anyone. Thank you for making our move to NC from MA run so smoothly.

Hall Lane moved my mother-in-law from New York to Maine and they did a great job packing all her things with care and complying with all our requests. Oneil Moving Systems, Inc

I want to give you the full story. The week up to me contacting Oneill moving I called around moving companies and asked how much would it be to move a 3900 sq ft house with a few rooms in the basement. I got quotes using 2 26 foot trucks with 4 to 6 men plus cleanout anywhere from 3800 to 4500. I settled on oneill since they were the cheapest and available, I emphasized i needed 2..26 foot trucks and Susan Oneill said no problem. The day before the move she tells me on the 28th that one truck had an accident and other is in the shop and can only give me one 26 ft the other 10 foot electrical van. Last minute she left me no choice my settlement on my house was 8/31 and i had to get out of there over the weekend. She also said if i can find a last minute 26 foot truck she will pay for it, and i did but when i called her back she said her foreman will come and look at the job and see if it really is needed. So the 29th they all come out, formean looks at the job says the trucks they have are ok i do not need another one, but was he wrong, they had to take multiple trips to load and unload my furniture till 1 in the morning. The next day Sunday the electrical van came out multiple times inconveniencing me and finishing up late also. So finally its 8/31 and their policy is to only take cash, cashiers checks certified, i only could get a title company check that i tried to convert to cashiers but it would not clear till the next day, so when they found, out after loading some of the furniture at my new house, they quickly loaded everything back on the truck and drove back to their base not delivering my furniture. This is the part that becomes borderline extortion as one of the police officers i talked too, when she ordered them to not deliver and put everything back on the truck, she basically held my furniture for ransom and said YOU GIVE ME 5000 AND I WANT CASH UPFRONT BEFORE THEY DELIVER OR ELSE of course what could i do she had me handtied i had to pray that she would deliver it the next day she was fully paid. So finally after giving her 5000 they began to deliver it, but of course since they did not have 2.26 foot trucks they had to come back twice and the second delivery lasted till 3 in the morning, i felt bad for the guys since they had a big delivery at 730 the next morning with only a few hours sleep. When the foreman showed up at the 2nd delivery he was all pissed off and kept complaining that he was not getting paid, and he ordered the guys to throw the furniture in the garage any which way, causing a complete mess that took me days to straighten out myself, and i had to pay another 150 for another company to come out to help move some of the stuff, also he refused to place any furniture that was already placed on the first delivery, he was a complete unprofessional and he left in a huff taking my paperwork and not signing out etc. I found out some things that the guys are not even employees, they are subcontractors that have no insurance or work mans comp and are paid probably under the table, basically guys off the street. I believe they are violating several pa rules, extorting holding my furniture as ransom unless i agreed to 5000 well above the 10 pct allowable increase from the original estimate, taking the money upfront without delivering, refusing to deliver, no workers comp insurance deceiving the public saying they are insured, they only have driving insurance, also there is some damage to some of the furniture too. I hope you can help me with this, since this was one of the most horrific miserable things i have ever went thru.

These guys win the prize for not only making our very challenging move from Denver to Carbondale less complicated, but also doing it with smiles and a great attitude, doing it professionally and going above and beyond to make it all work out well for us. From the estimator to the super movers, to the guys at the top who helped figure it all out, this group did what they could to simply make it work. Oh, and upon unpacking Not one thing broken. They also picked up and recycled the empty boxes and packing material and accepted whatever we took back to them later as well. As for the expense, perhaps I could have worked at it and found some way to have done it cheaper (and with much more hassle!) - I believe I got what I paid for in value and quality of the work provided.

Great moving experience
Great and helpful group of guys. I have moved 7 times to included 2 cross county moves so I know what a good move is vs a nightmare move. Moved my 80 yr old mother from independent to assisted living. Especially patient with her. Took apart a teak cabinet. Attention to detail at delivery too. Reassembled and adjusted the doors so that they were even. We had several large items that needed to be moved to another location and they were the muscle that help load to another truck. Cheers you guys and thank you.

Great and helpful group of guys. I have moved 7 times to included 2 cross county moves so I know what a good move is vs a nightmare move. Moved my 80 yr old mother from independent to assisted living. Especially patient with her. Took apart a teak cabinet. Attention to detail at delivery too. Reassembled and adjusted the doors so that they were even. We had several large items that needed to be moved to another location and they were the muscle that help load to another truck. worst experience
I had booked and paid deposit. Day of they were supposed to come between 9-10 am they never showed and then all day said they were coming. it was obvious they took another job perhaps that paid much more as they said they were in Miami at 9 AM and I am in Broward county. This ruined my whole day it was hard to find someone else I had just closed on my condo and the new people were coming the next morning I did not know what to do. Last minute by the grace of God at 4 PM I found somebody that would show up. I would never recommend this company or use them be where they will book the appointment take your posit and then make excuses all day worst company ever. They did end up refunding my money

Excellent Work
I was making a move from AZ to CO and was dreading it. I heard a lot of horror stories about movers but I could not have been more satisfied! The whole experience was great. Jeanie gave me my estimate and she was very honest, which I really appreciated. Their estimate was between 300-2000 cheaper than the other companies I was looking at. Debbie was always on top of giving me updates/checkins on when they were going to pick up the furniture and my delivery. My delivery driver was Darryl Jordan and Joe who were awesome! They were super gentle with all my furniture, set up my bed and cleaned up all the wrapping after. I will definitely be using Olympian/Allied again for more moves
