This is the most realistic assessment of YouMoveMe..as I have gone through a range of sheer frustration, some relief, gratitude, back to tardiness, semi-responsible behavior. Brian Kelley- original manager, not so reliable. A too business man like, less customer service. Movers though, top notch. Hardworking guys...but there was a lack of follow through on certain things that we had agreed upon. Since the original time, YouM...has gone through a few changes in mgmt. Some are great at follow through, some not so much. Overall, the attitude is too lax...what could have been a great service, is now lax. Will be hard to stay in business this way, leave alone grow. Hopefully, they can turn it around. Timeliness, do what you said, you will do...makes for a great impression. Overall, bad. You can get better service just about anywhere else for much less pricing. They pack with care and thats about it - the only USP, but not enough to compensate for actual service.

You Move Me Twin Cities
Bad Experience!!
They arrived an hour late (and I did not received a time window) and we had only booked the loading dock for two hours so my husband had to help get stuff into the truck while our time was running out. It took them 15-20 minute to park the truck and they counted that as part of our moving time. They started rushing during the move and became a little careless breaking an $175 bookshelf. The moving insurance that I paid for, through You Move Me, seems like a complete waste of money. Next, they were also only wearing masks for the first 15 minutes of the move, while things were coming out of the apartment. They did not wear masks for any of the time that products were moved into the house. I have already reached out and have got the response that they will work with customer but nothing yet has happened and our move happened two weeks ago. I was really excited to use You Move Me because when I called for a quote they had incredible response time, and great customer service and it was called out by many people that they were ALWAYS on time. Wow I was proven VERY wrong.

The guys were on time and friendly. Pretty quick too. However, you get charged for each sheet of packing paper and if unsupervised, they will individually wrap whatever they can. They wrapped the circular mixing ball from my protein shaker, individual Tupperware lids, it was a bit ridiculous. I would also ask them to be super specific with the labeling. We had about 6 kitchen boxes labeled kitchen stuff misc glassware.

I survived a poor experience with this company. The team that picks up and delivers were great - professional, timely and worked hard. But unfortunately their customer service and dispatch were anything but. They do not listen, are non-responsive and want everything their way. No concern for your - the customers - needs.

Bell Moving & Storage, Inc

We used Bell for our move to Florida - big mistake. The final cost was more than our estimate and we initially did not know why because there was no itemized bill, but we had to pay to get our stuff. We had to call to get that final bill - they did not disclose on our estimate the additional charges for packing and UNpacking mattresses. Also charged for unpacking our TV which was not done. Only half the scheduled crew showed up to pack us up in Ohio, so it took 2 days rather than 1 and then of course, delayed getting to Florida causing us additional costs in lodging while waiting for them. Took and entire week to get here. The crew in Florida installed one headboard on backwards, and when told about it, they still did not install it property requiring my husband to remove it entirely and fix it after they left. He also had to tighten up the master headboard, and they did not attached the mirror to a dresser since they had misplaced the braces for it. Several items damaged. Complained to parent company (Wheaton) and locally, but no response.

Budget Economy Movers
Disappointed in this firm
NEVER use this moving company!! They are horrible!!! They are unprofessional, dishonest, and horrible people. They do not have employees...they just hire day laborers and pay them little to nothing and then leave the day laborer stranded. They say they will charge the cheapest and give you a decent quote..and then they charge for pre-wrapping your stuff which is part of moving. They say they will bring 3 movers and that is a lie. B&H moved my boyfriend and me from NYC to Portland, Oregon. I had say the service was just OK. To load the truck, the movers arrived 15 mins late (ok, not terrible), and they were pretty efficient packing our stuff onto the truck. We had boxed a bunch of our stuff ourselves, even though their rep says that they will pack up to 15 boxes for you, all of the packaging and boxes included. So we packed the big stuff and left all of the dishes and kitchen stuff for them to do with the packaging they claimed was included. When they got to the house and saw that stuff unpacked, the foreman said they usually charge a fee for wrapping dishes and stuff, but he will do it for free as long as we take care of his guys (aka tip the movers). So like I said, the actual speed of the load-in was cool. At the end, however, since we went over the amount of truck space from the estimate, we ended up being charged more - which is fine. The foremans math, however, was horrendous, and he tried to convince us we owed about $500 more than we did. Eventually - after about 15 mins of back and forth - my boyfriend showed him his errors and he saw his miscalculations and he charged us correctly. When we gave the big tip to his guys, he told us he would be splitting it 3 ways (to tip himself), not just amongst them. The trip, they told us, would take about 7-10 days since they were getting us on an early truck out, and they would call 24 hours before arriving. I called them on the 14th day, and they said it would be coming on the 18th day. I called on the 17th day and they said it would still be a few more days. When they finally arrived, several things were broken, but in the grand scheme of things, most things were not, which is of course great. Several boxes were covered outside and inside (how had that happen) with a fine white dust. Some pots and pans were chipped because they packed them and did not wrap properly. Some glass things were shattered. All in all, our stuff came in decent shape - would I use B&H again? Doubtful.

Brains & Brawn Moving & Delivery
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I do not normally give out 5 stars, in fact I do not know if I ever have, but Heath and his company Brains & Brawn Moving really deserve it. We had them scheduled at 10am and due to a U-Haul issue could not get started on time. Heath worked with us and loaded what they could and then came back after the tire was changed on the truck. We were really stressed out because of the move and then the truck issues and he not only loaded our truck but assured us that everything (not just the move) would be ok. He seemed to really care about the tough time we were having. We had some really really heavy things that were no problem - things our movers at our destination in Texas had major issues with. Here, our movers complained and bitched about how heavy the stuff was. We did not get any of that from Brains & Brawn. The guys here in Texas even complimented Heath and company on how great the truck was packed. Speaking of how great the truck was packed, we had several very fragile and sentimental items that arrived in perfect condition. We were very worried about these things (ex: a large antique mirror) but once again Heath assured us things would be ok, and they were. We drove almost 1,000 miles and nothing at all was broken. As Heath and his men left he knew we were getting ready to drive late into the night and he told us if we got sleepy to give him a call and he had keep us awake. Now THATs service I highly recommend Brains & Brawn, not only for their fair price but also for their great service.

Really fantastic
I called just a few days before our actual move, and Scott got back with me immediately and we arranged a time for them to come and help move our items into our moving truck. He provided a quote up front, and included all of the costs and fees which I really appreciated. He was very honest and transparent. Overall they were incredibly personable and efficient, and did a fantastic job moving our furniture and boxes! They kept a positive attitude and were still smiling even after 3 hours of moving from a third floor apartment. Would definitely recommend them!

Book Store Movers
friendly and very professional
Have used Bookstore Movers multiple times, all have been great! Just moved this week and had issues with the city paving our street - first the street we were moving from, which ended early, and then the street we were moving TO on the day of the move. The customer service was super responsive to my multiple semi-panicked paving-related emails, adding a mover when we thought we might need to park around the block and then removing him when the paving was done early. And the movers day of were (as always) professional, thorough, friendly, safe, and fast! Cannot recommend them enough.

Excellent service and the price
Excellent Service, Very Professional. My family and I are VERY pleased with the service we got. Barry, the owner, showed up with 3 other guys. They moved our 3 Bedroom Apartment from Marina Shores, VB to Colonial Arms in five hours. Other companies wanted to be paid over twice as much as Barry charged us. My belonging were damaged
So this was the worst move of my life! Every aspect was poorly managed. Communication was terrible. My belonging were damaged. And the claims process is a struggle. The furniture that was not broken could not all be reassembled at the new location due to lost parts. And the driver did not come on the day he told me because I did not answer a text that he sent out to me after 10pm. I would avoid this company.

My moving experience with Advanced Moving Lines has been awful. I moved from Groton, MA to College Station, TX and it was a disaster start to finish. The movers were 7 hours late (and did not call us, we had to call them to find out where the heck they were after several hours) and when they packed my things left large gaps so that the calculated cubic footage was very high, increasing my price by 40%. When I finally received my items, I was missing a box with irreplaceable sentimental items and several important furniture pieces, including essential components to my bed. So far they have failed to find these. We are now going through the claims process, but this cannot replace the items I have lost that had personal value far beyond money. It was also an incredible hassle trying to communicate with the company. Luis tried his best, but everyone else had no information and did not care in the slightest about my move.

We booked 3 people with a truck to move us and 2 people with a trailer showed up. It took TWELVE HOURS to move patio furniture, boxes and one bedroom of furniture to a location that was 10 MINUTES away. Additionally, we had to help them finish just to get it done. DAMAGE was done to our concrete patio furniture. I hired Ariel Moving to move our 4 bedroom, two story home back in December. These guys were great and I cannot say enough! Its been a while since I have come across workers of this caliber. They worked for close to 12 hours straight, no breaks, no delays just full steam. It was about 20 degrees outside that day but that did not slow them down. I certainly expected breakage of some sort but everything arrived at our new home intact and none of our walls were scraped or damaged even given the large size and weight of our furniture. We hired Ariel again in the beginning of February to move a packed storage room we had for years and once again, they worked hard and took great care of our things. I highly recommend Val and his team to anyone and everyone. They are professional, courteous, honest, hardworking folks who genuinely care and certainly take great pride in what they do. I wish I knew of them sooner ... I could have spared my father in law and a few other friends that have moved, the grief that they have experienced with movers. I found Ariel through the BBB and I will always continue to use them and recommend them. I also would mention that they are very fair in their pricing. Their estimates were pretty accurate and there were no surprises, hidden fees or unreasonable add-ons. I wish them all much continued success. We are eternally grateful!

We had an amazing experience with Ace! Our lead, Daniel was friendly and fun. We could not believe how quickly they loaded the truck. Most of our belongings went into storage. They stopped at the house first and left what we needed there, then proceeded to our storage unit and unloaded the rest, while organizing the placement of our items to maximize space! I cannot say enough good things about this company. Professional movers are not inexpensive but it is worth every penny spent. My husband was forced to say You were right honey, good call!
