so easy
So fast! So fun! They showed up in the middle of the window of time and had me all unpacked in my new building in under an hour and a half! Both guys were so nice and easy to talk to! Would highly recommend!

From beginning to end this company was great to work with. We had to reschedule twice and each time they were very accommodating. They showed up on time and worked fast and efficiently. they killed it
This company completely killed it! Best movers I've ever worked with. They showed up early, were INSANELY polite, super careful with all of my stuff (more so than I would have been) and moved me very efficiently. No dilly dallying to rack up more hours.

I used these movers to send some extra furniture that I didn't need anymore to my parents house. I did some shopping around and decided to use these guys and what can I say I don't regret it all. They were nice and professional and even gave me some helpful tips about caring the furniture that I had left. My parents called me and told me that they arrived in the time that they said they would and very helpful in placing them where they wanted to go. They are #1 on my list in respect to movers. Great Job guys!!!

Real Movers Moving and Storage Inc
You Will Like Them!
This place gets things done! While making sure your items arrive intact and in good shape. They were on time during pickup and drop-off which is always a good thing. They were polite and even helped me with a few things I couldn't do by myself. It was so nice being able to let someone else handle all the hard work for once.

I've used so many moving companies before. There was always an issue of some sort, hidden fees, broken/misplaced items, unprofessional movers, the list goes on and on. I was hesitant in hiring another moving company, but hate moving myself so the choice was clear. I came across Great American Van Lines and must say I was pleasantly surprised. They reassured me and instilled confidence back in me and my decision to hire them for my move. I was pleased they did and that I chose them. They were amazing. Everything was as they told me and spelled out. Since using their service, I have referred them to all of my friends and family who have all had great moves and were very pleased. How many companies can you say go above and beyond? I can certainly vouch for them and say they do!

Memorable experience
It has been a month since I used the services of this relocating company, but the memory of my relocation from Maryland to Los Angeles is still fresh in my brain. After worrying about the relocation for more than two weeks, I finally met with the movers who promised to take care of my relocation to my satisfaction. I wasn't sure until when I saw them working. Nothing was damaged during the move. Not a single property was lost either. How do you forget that?

Pleased me completely
The companies who are at top of the moving business charge such ridiculous amounts; it’s tough for a regular jobholder like me to hire them. Instead, we have to make do with companies who provide somewhat adequate services at a reasonable price. Straight Forward Moving is probably the only exception. I’m no novice at relocation and I have been through the best and worst moving companies. I have to give it to them for being so professional and affordable during my last move. They quoted me a very reasonable price. They sent over 3 very capable men equipped with all the right tools and 2 shiny new vans. I was very shocked to see how skilled the men were given how realistically they were charging. Not all good is lost yet. I am highly recommending this company.

Public Moving and Storage
Avoid this Company
The sales agent who initially contacted me made false representations concerning the time and cost, and I relied on those false representations to my family's detriment. After taking my money, he completely disappeared. Our pick-up date and time -- and even the back-up pick-up date and time the company selected -- were ignored. Our pick-up was delayed by the company three times, resulting in us breaching our sales contract with our buyer for not vacating our home in time. When Public Moving and Storage did finally show, it was close to 10:00 p.m. with a small box truck that was already 1/2 full of another customer's stuff. They could not get all of our things onto the truck, and at 1:00 in the morning, exhausted and facing work the next morning, we were forced to call in outside help to move half of our household into a sympathetic neighbor's garage. Then came the long wait to get Public Moving and Storage back to free up our neighbor's garage and consolidate our things for delivery to our new home. Again, there were several delays for one reason or another (and much to our increasingly anxious neighbor's angst). The sales agent had promised us a smooth delivery in "about a week." This move took a month from start to finish. Meanwhile we spent the holidays without furniture or any of our holiday decorations. Though I was assured by a customer service agent that my situation was unique and that this many delays were not the norm, I was not offered any concession. In fact, my intelligence was insulted by one a sarcastic customer service agent (ironically named "Angel"), my apparent reward for the calm and patient manner in which I had approached these problems. The cost for the move was substantially higher than the estimate based on the itemized furniture and box count list I had accurately provided two days before the start of the move. The company offered no explanation about why its software had generated an inaccurate estimate. The company never provided us with an invoice containing our total cost, only a series of invoices with subtotals misleading us to believe that we were actually within the estimate. The movers themselves were hardworking, and all of our things ultimately made it to their destination. This is why there is 1 star and not zero. I will nevertheless not use this company again, will not recommend them, and would discourage anyone else from using them.
