Subject : American Van Lines subcontracted my move and used a substandard mover -- MOVERS BEWARE - Reviewed by Susan Graham on 07/06/17
Review :
I contracted this company because they had good reviews online. Unfortunately, they subcontracted my move to another mover - Traditional Express Van Lines -- Traditional Express damaged my sofa, and didn't deliver all of my items. As of today, I still don't have my items. Lack of communication from this company - I have had to make repeated phone calls to get any answers. Their extra "movers" insurance was crap -- it basically just covered their liability -- it didn't cover the cost of replacement. Their regular insurance covers your items at 60 CENTS PER POUND -- their agents stole $700 worth of my property. And the MOVER damaged a brand new sofa -- he sliced the fabric with his knife as he was cutting away the packing material around it. He also damaged it when he dropped it off of the truck -- BECAUSE HE WAS ALONE. MOVERS BEWARE --MAKE SURE THIS COMPANY ISN"T SUBCONTRACTING YOUR MOVE TO A SUBSTANDARD MOVING COMPANY.
