In the summer of 1993, Paul Arpin Van Lines, the Nation s seventh largest mover, established Arpin of Richmond. This corporate owned agency was set up to service its Corporate Accounts and also to service the van line’s military business at Fort Lee. By 1995 Arpin of Richmond’s revenues were $400,000 annually. Paul Arpin brought in Wes Stewart as Arpin of Richmond’s new general manager to achieve increased business and to better establish the agency locally as a leader in quality moving services. Under Mr. Stewart’s management and through the hard work and dedication of the employees, Arpin of Richmond began to excel. In 1997 Arpin of Richmond received an award from Paul Arpin Van Lines for BEST COMPANY STORE FINANCIAL TURNAROUND and also was recognized with a second award for GREATEST INCREASE IN SALES. Overwhelmingly positive feedback from Arpin of Richmond customers began to reach the attention of the Van Line. The Van Line responded by assigning more of its Corporate Account moves to the Richmond based agency. That same year Arpin of Richmond experienced a substantial increase in military move bookings and received a certificate of appreciation from Fort Lee in recognition for Superior Service to the members of the armed services at Fort Lee.
